🌱 FARM WORKERS WANTED – MAUNGATAPERE, WHANGĀREI 🍉
We are looking for multiple farm workers to join our team for our courgette and watermelon growing operation in Maungatapere, Whangārei.

You must be:

✅ Physically fit and able to perform farm work
✅ Reliable and hardworking
✅ A good team player
✅ Have no criminal history
✅ Have your own reliable car and a valid driver licence to travel to and from work
✅ Have a valid New Zealand work visa or be a New Zealand resident/citizen

🌱 Work includes:

• Planting and general crop work
• Weeding and crop maintenance
• Harvesting courgettes and watermelons
• Packing and other general farm duties

📍 Location: Maungatapere, Whangārei
👥 Multiple positions available
💰 Pay: $24.50 per hour + holiday pay

Mihi nunui Ngā Kaihoe O Te Ao Hou

We would like to send a massive mihi to brother Raymond Ututaonga and the entire crew and whānau for making it happen and bringing Te Wairoa back to the Awa, the Whenua and it's people.

For a long time many have said they would bring the Waka home and yesterday it happened. Āe mārika!

What a spectacular day of kotahitanga befitting for the mana of Te Wairoa. We were proud to be a part of this historic day and it would be remiss not to acknowledge the long hours of mahi you have executed to bring the vision to fruition.

Raymond Ututaonga, kore mutu I ngā mihi kia koe. To your wife Sharon, and tamariki who are always there to support you and your entire crew of committed and respected kaihoe who without this could not be achieved. God bless your journey ahead and the exciting times to come.

Mahitahi for the whenua

We have teamed up with Ngā Repo o Te Wairoa and Kaipara Moana Remediation for a Wetlands restoration project that has given the opportunity to our Rangatahi to gain valuable taiao based skills and paid employment.

Yesterday was our first day on the tools and together we planted close to 1300 native rākau and plants that will help restore the wetlands at Kapehu Marae and contribute to the revitlisation of the Wairoa River and Kaipara Moana.

A big mihi to Iraia Maxwell for your guidance and leadership and your natural ability to engage the Rangatahi. To Kimzee Teps and Tuia for the extra Rangatahi after a couple of mine werent available at last minute, and to Aunty Grace Le Gros and Kelly Retimana of Ngā Repo o Te Wairoa for this collaborative opportunity.

Te Piringa Pai has teamed up with Ngā Repo o Te Wairoa and Kaipara Moana Remediation in a kaitiaki native planting project to help restore the Wairoa River.

Rangatahi and current students of our Tāraitia - Pathway development programme, will receive professional training and paid employment to plant thousands of native rākau around various lots of whenua in the Kaipara starting at Kāpehu Marae.

This is an amazing opportunity and collaboration that will give these Rangatahi real life kaitiakitanga skills and knowledge, paid employment and connecting them with their whakapapa and whenua.

Te Piringa Pai is grateful to be able to provide collaborate alongside Ngā Repo o Te Wairoa which is lead by Aunty Grace Le Gros, and the Kaipara Moana Remediation and provide this opportunity for our young people to grow.

Congratulations Wiremu

Wiremu is a humble young man who started on our Tāraitia programme with a goal of gaining his restricted license and employment. We put together a plan for him and with some diligent study and practise, Wiremu was successful in gaining his restricted license and now has a job at The Warehouse. Congratulations Wiremu! Ko koe kei runga!
