This Sunday the 24th May from 11.30am until 1.30pm, Cobden Community Group is having a working Bee at McGlashan Park, Richmond Street. We strive to make our spaces and places better for us all. We hope to see you there.

Remember tonight’s meeting about Civil Defence in Cobden. 6.00pm at the Fire Station.

There will be a Civil Defence meeting on Tuesday the 19th at the Cobden Fire Station at 6.00pm. For anyone that would like to attend to be a part of Cobden Emergency Management group or to learn more, we would love to see you.

Cobden Community Group supports our partners CASRA. There is a CASRA community planting day on Saturday the 16th of May from 9.00am until 11.00am if anyone can come along to help it would be greatly appreciated. See details in post attached.

UPDATE: Due to the forecast for rubbish weather, our planting day is postponed to Sat 16 May from 9 May. Hope to see you there.

You are warmly invited to the next Community Planting Day at Cobden Lagoon (Aromahana Sanctuary) Sat 16 May 9 - 11am. Meet in the carpark. Bring a spade, sturdy shoes or boots and dress warmly. CASRA will supply plants, gloves, snacks and water. The planting will only go ahead in fine weather. Any postponement will be notified on facebook by 8.30am on the day at tge latest. The defibrillator is located at 107 Bright Street, Cobden, on the wall by reception, making this potentially life-saving equipment more accessible to our local community.

In an emergency, please call 111 first. Emergency services will provide the access code needed to open the defibrillator cabinet and guide you through the next steps.”
