8.15am update: a temporary repair was successful last night.
A permanent repair is being planned and we will update everyone when more information is available.

‼️ There is a water break on Mackay Street. Contractors are on site trying to fix it.
They have already shut down some valves and water is off to some areas of the CBD.
Larger areas of the CBD may be affected as work proceeds.
The contractor is working hard to restore water and may only be able to do a temporary repair tonight.
Some people in southern greater Greymouth may experience low water pressure while repairs are made, but this will only be temporary.
Further detail will be provided as information comes to hand.
