🏆 Moss Cross Memorial – Best Car Overall 🏆

The Best Car Overall Trophy was proudly donated by the Cross Family and this year’s tough decision was left to Janine Cross. ❤️

There were plenty of beautiful cars to choose from, and it took Janine a little while to make up her mind. But by the time we reached the first pub, she had made her decision…

“That’s the one. It’s a bloody nice car!” 😍

The winner? Pete Kingma’s stunning red Impala! 🔥🚗

And we have to agree with Janine — it’s definitely a show stopper and a very worthy winner of Best Car Overall! 🏆

Congratulations Pete, and thank you for bringing such a beautiful car along and being part of the Moss Cross Memorial.

We hope to see you and that gorgeous Impala back again next year! ❤️

This year’s Best Cruiser trophy was proudly donated by the Budge Family and chosen by Laikyn Budge. ❤️

Laikyn headed out amongst the cars, taking a good look around before deciding he couldn’t look past the bright orange Pacer, driven by Janine Cross. 🧡🚗

A top choice, Laikyn! We couldn’t agree more — that Pacer is one pretty cool cruiser! 😍

A huge congratulations to Janine, who travelled all the way from Australia to join us for the Moss Cross Memorial. 🇦🇺❤️ We are forever grateful for her continued support each year and the effort she makes to be part of the day.

🏆 Moss Cross Memorial – Best Valiant 🏆

We all know Moss absolutely loved a Valiant, so this award feels like a pretty special one. ❤️

Raymond’s Valiant certainly stood out from the crowd, and when it came time to choose, Georgia said she simply couldn’t look past it — “It’s a minter!” 😍

And we couldn’t agree more!

MOSS CROSS MEMORIAL CRUISE 2026 💖

What a bloody day. 🥹

We were blessed with pretty good spring weather, and although our numbers were a little lower this year, it was still such a bloody good day out.

Good people. Cruising around with your mates. Cold beers. Good music. Stopping at a few pubs along the way

That’s what Moss loved to do! Getting everyone together, having a good time, and making memories. And that’s exactly what we’ll keep doing every year in his honour. ❤️

It was an emotional day, there’s no doubt about that. But more than anything, there was just so much love. Love for Moss, for his family, for his mates, and for everyone who continues to show up and keep his memory alive.

Life is bloody expensive right now, and so is petrol, so we genuinely can’t thank everyone enough for making the effort to come along on Saturday. Whether you travelled five minutes or several hours, brought a car, came along for the ride, helped out, bought a raffle ticket, had a drink at a pub or simply supported us from afar - we appreciate you more than you know. ❤️

A very special mention to Janine, Moss’s sister, who came all the way over from Australia to be here with us. 🥹❤️ That meant so much.

And while the cruise is a bloody good day out, it’s also about something much bigger — supporting families in our Clutha District who are going through health turmoil. 💖

We are always taking applications from families in the Clutha District who are facing a health battle and could use a little bit of support. If you or someone you know is going through a tough time, please get in touch with us. ❤️

We hope you enjoyed your day as much as we did, because we certainly did!

The Eve of the Moss Cross Memorial Cruise 💖

Four years ago, on a day like today,
We sat in a hospital room, holding on so tight.
Waiting for Moss to take his final breath,
A moment that changed our lives forever with his death.

Cancer robbed him of so much along the way -
Of being a father, a fiancé, a brother each day.
It took him far too young, at just thirty-six,
But it could never take the love he left with us.

Because a life like Moss’s doesn’t simply disappear,
His stories, his laughter, his spirit are still here.
In every memory, every smile, every story we share,
In the people who loved him, he’ll always be there.

And tomorrow, when those old classics roar,
As engines echo through Balclutha once more,
When you hear the rumble and see them roll by,
Look up to the sky and give Moss a smile. 💖

For tomorrow isn’t just about cars on the road,
It’s about carrying forward the love that he showed.
It’s about remembering a life that meant so much,
And celebrating Moss, with every mile we touch.
