Established in January 2000, we offer members cost effective and sustainable access to children's toys. We are located in the basement of St Chads Church, 38 St Johnβs Road, Meadowbank. Our Toy Library is part of the nationwide not-for-profit Toy Library Federation which supports more than 150 local libraries nationwide. We understand buying toys can be expensive, children are often easily bored,
and families have limited budgets. Our membership provides a family with a wide a range of educational and play options, puzzles, games and toys, that can save money over the long term, as well as space in the home and waste to landfill. When hand picking new toys for our library we consider toy safety, educational value and of course the fun factor! We have options for fortnightly borrows as well as birthday parties. Our onsite Librarian will assist with all your needs; providing guidance on membership options as well as toy choices based on your childβs age and stage. We warmly welcome new members to join our library which is an integral part of the community, both within Meadowbank and the surrounding communities of the Eastern Suburbs! Opening Times:
Tuesday Evening 7.15pm β 8.15pm
Saturday morning 9.15am β 11.15am
Annual Membership:
$80 Duty (volunteer 4 times per year);
$160 Non-Duty
Duty members are rostered on to help in the toy library approximately once per term. Non-duty members pay a slightly higher membership fee and are exempt from rostered duties. Committee members help run the organisation and are exempt from rostered duties.
