What a wonderful day spent celebrating Matariki together with our whānau and community. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, connection, and the true spirit of togetherness.

It was a joy to share activities, delicious kai, and practical items while taking the time to connect, kōrero, and celebrate this special occasion. Seeing so many smiling faces and people coming together to support one another is what community is all about.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable. Matariki reminds us to reflect, celebrate, and look forward with hope—and we are grateful to have shared these moments with you all.

Ngā mihi and Matariki mā Puanga! 🌟💙

Police are urging members of the public to be aware of an online scam targeting people interested in attending fitness sessions in Auckland.

Victims have reported seeing Tai Chi classes being advertised on Facebook and asking them to register their interest.

After completing the online form the victims are contacted, usually via WhatsApp, and being instructed to download an app which is claimed to be used to book classes.

Once downloaded this app allows the scammers to access the victims bank accounts.
Multiple victims have reported losing large sums of money.

Police are advising the public to be aware of this scam and to not engage with anyone over WhatsApp about downloading apps onto their phone.

Anyone who would like to report an instance of this occurring or has information about those responsible is asked to update Police online now or call 105 using the reference number 260527/5473.

Information can also be provided anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
