It's there for anyone who might need a little extra help, and for those who are in a position to give back. Whether it's a tin of soup, a packet of pasta, or something else from your pantry, every donation helps.

If times are a bit tough, please don't hesitate to take what you need. That's what it's there for.

You'll find the pantry outside Community House, available for our community to use.
Because sometimes a small act of kindness can make all the difference ❤️

We're collecting home baking this week as part of Bake My Day 2026, helping spread some kindness to older members of our community during Elder Abuse Awareness Week.

Drop your baking to Community House between Monday 15 June and Wednesday 17 June.

Renovations are nearing the end at Community House Mid Canterbury. The house has under gone a refurbishment at a cost of more than $435k with reroofing and solar panels installed. Next, the almost completed project is getting a temporary change to its entry and reception areas, as well as a new fire...

Volunteering Mid Canterbury has a display set up in Community House featuring some of the many diferent places that you can volunteer. Come by and have a look, then take a pamphlet and begin your volunteeering journey. It could be 'Your year to volunteer".
