This Saturday, the Mid Canterbury Fijian Community Group will be marking Fiji Day right here in Ashburton.

Through language, songs, dance, traditional games, food and stories, the day is about passing traditions on and giving young people the opportunity to connect with their Fijian heritage, while sharing a little of their culture with the wider community too.

Our Trustees are always chuffed when they can support an application that's about much more than simply purchasing equipment. It's knowing those resources can be used again and again, helping the group share their culture and create more opportunities for people to come together.
