Animal Rehab Central

Animal Rehab Central See our website www.animalrehabcentral.co.nz/ for animals available for adoption and other information. Open by appointment. We provide safe and secure housing.

Animal Rehab Central (ARC) was established to provide a service to animals in need. Animal Rehab Central (ARC) provide neglected and/or unwanted animals with shelter, care, veterinary treatment and rehabilitation. We match animals with appropriate adopters to ensure a successful outcome for all. In 2021 Animal Rehab Central rented a space in Centrepoint Mall Alexandra. Pet Pit Stop provides animal products such as food, toys, and training aids. Any profit made goes towards covering some of ARC’s costs. See our website https://www.animalrehabcentral.co.nz/ for more about Animal Rehab Central, the products on offer at our Pet Pit Stop, what animals we have available for adoption, and how you can donate.

📢 A concerned member of the public has let us know that a scam organisation/person named "Charlotte's Rescue" is using Animal Rehab Central as a fake referee.

The scam in this case involves "Charlotte's Rescue" calling to plead they have dogs that need fostering. If their intended mark expresses an interest in fostering a dog they then ask for money upfront for "transfer costs". Do not engage.

We do have wonderful people who foster animals for us, but we provide food etc for the duration of the foster and certainly do not charge for it! You are most welcome to get in touch with us if you are interested in being a foster dog or cat carer.

Happy Birthday Shirlene 🥳🎈

We're here doing this thing because of you. You are our glue, our inspiration 🧡🩵🧡

It's a hard road keeping it all rolling and you do it, for the animals. As a volunteer I might add.

Throwback photo to the official launch day of Animal Rehab Central - 15 August 2020. Animal Rehab Central's mission is to provide care, rehabilitation, and rehoming for Central Otago animals in need.

Shirlene you rock.

This post is a tribute to our beloved rescue dog Max 🧡

Sadly his age got the better of him after being in our care as a permanent foster for the past 18 months.

Max touched all of our hearts and his presence is very much missed.

Thank you Max for giving us all so much joy.

Thank you Ruth, Jonny and Tui for welcoming him into your home ❤️❤️❤️

Elderly cats and dogs that find their way to Animal Rehab Central are looked after in our homes. That's what rescues are all about. We are in it for animals in need.

UPDATE: BILLY IS ADOPTED 🐈‍⬛🧡

7 yr old female Tortie

Billy is a stunning kitty with a beautiful nature. She’s very affectionate, loves a brush and lots of pats. She would suit a quiet home as I believe that is what she has been used to in the past.

Contact Shirlene if you would like to meet Billy - 027 436 1028, [email protected] 🐾

UPDATE: GRACE IS ADOPTED

6 year old female Collie 🧡

Grace is an absolute sweetheart. She just loves attention and instantly presents you with her belly for tummy rubs. She has perfect manners and excellent recall. She’s ok with cats and dogs.

Grace would love to be the centre of attention and would make an excellent loyal family dog. She truly lives up to her name.

She has never been a working dog so loves her creature comforts.

If you would like Grace to grace you with her presence please contact Shirlene. You won’t be disappointed: 027 436 1028, [email protected] 🐾
