Alexandra Community Arts Council promotes performances by visiting artist to Alexandra, administers the Central Lakes Arts Support Scheme [ CLASS ] for Alexandra and Teviot Valley. This provides for a grant of up to $2,000 to assist in the development of grass roots arts programmes and training; and provides an annual scholarchip to residents of Alexandra to assist with personal skill development in an arts focused discipline

Last week we presented the Dunstan Highschool band 'Stolen Rings' with the Denis Litchfield memorial scholarship of $2,500. They’ll be using the money to go towards costs associated with recording at the world-famous Roundhead Studios in Auckland. The future looks very exciting for these young men!
