Development Evaluation Society is a non-profit distributing professional organization registered under Nepal Government’s Company Act with the aim to conduct research and provide consultancy services in development fields. A team of development professionals has been involved in such activities for last one decade as a loose group, and later formalized by registering the group as Development Socie
ty in 2010. It has a team composed of academic and development professionals working in the national and international arena. Objectives
The broader objective of this organization is to strengthen the professional development sector through implementing development activities, capacity building of local development organizations and providing consulting services in this sector. Specific objectives are as follows:
To strengthen the institutional capacity of local NGOs – supporting to prepare strategic documents, policy and plans, operational systems, staff capacity building in project design and implementation, coordination & advocacy, etc. To conduct research and community development activities
To provide consultancy service to research and development organizations in baseline study, feasibility study, project formulation, project/impact evaluation, M&E tools development, conducting research and case studies, etc. in community development sector.
