On the occasion of International Youth Day 2026, themed “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” Creating Possibilities Nepal organized a speech competition on “My Voice, My Future.”

19 young girls from diverse backgrounds participated in the competition, bringing their unique perspectives and experiences to the stage. While their contexts and challenges may differ, their aspirations are remarkably common: access to quality education, equality, dignity, good health, a safe environment, greater opportunities, and the freedom to shape their own futures.

The event was more than a speech competition; it was an opportunity for young girls to build confidence, raise their voices, and become leaders, advocates, and changemakers of tomorrow.

Different voices. Different journeys. One shared hope for a better future.

A Bicycle Can Change a Girl's Future

Sometimes, the simplest solutions create the greatest impact.

When CP Nepal first introduced its bicycle support initiative in 2012, it took time to convince our donor that a bicycle was much more than transportation. With the generous support of Her International, we began by providing 28 bicycles to girls who walked long distances to school.

Today, that small initiative has grown into a movement. CP Nepal now distributes more than 200 bicycles each year to deserving students and active members of our Mothers' Groups who are entrepreneurs and community leaders.

The impact goes far beyond helping someone get from one place to another.

🚲 Girls attend school more regularly, arrive on time, and have more time to study.
🚲 Women can expand their small businesses, attend community meetings, and become more economically independent.
🚲 Families can carry goods, farm produce, and household supplies more easily, reducing both time and physical effort.
🚲 Mothers can take younger children to school or health facilities more safely and efficiently.

A single bicycle doesn't just change one person's life—it strengthens an entire family and empowers a whole community.
