✨ AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ✨

61st Annual Charity Ball | Event Cancellation

It is with sincere regret that we announce the cancellation of this year’s 61st Annual Charity Ball.

This was not an easy decision. As our primary annual fundraiser, the Charity Ball supports the programs and projects at the heart of our mission. After careful consideration, we have chosen to dedicate this year to expanding our volunteer base and building a more sustainable fundraising model so we can better serve our community in the years ahead.

Our commitment to Baytown and the surrounding communities remains unchanged. Through the hard work of our members and the generosity of our supporters, the Service League of Baytown has provided hearing and vision screenings for students in Goose Creek CISD, Barbers Hill ISD, and Baytown Christian Academy, awarded scholarships to local graduating seniors, and supported community service projects throughout the year.

To our sponsors, ticket holders, and donors: thank you for your understanding and support. Refunds are available upon request. We also humbly invite you to consider allowing your contribution to remain a donation to the Service League of Baytown, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every gift helps us continue serving the students, families, and individuals who rely on our projects.

As we look ahead, we are focused on growing our membership and strengthening our volunteer network. The heart of any service organization is its people. If you know someone with a heart for service and a desire to help move our mission forward, we would be grateful for your referral.

To request a refund, ask about volunteering, recommend a prospective member, or ask questions, email us at [email protected].

Our Charity Ball may be canceled this year, but our purpose remains. Our community still needs us, and we are committed to building a stronger Service League to answer that call.

With gratitude,
Service League of Baytown

If you hear the laughter before you reach the table… you’ve probably found this crew.

Our member Danielle is pictured with a few of our Golden Age Bingo regulars—the group who sits at the same table, keeps everyone laughing, gets a little rowdy, and makes every gathering that much more fun. Just how we like it.

That’s what Golden Age is really about!

Yes, there’s bingo. Yes, there are prizes. But more than anything, there’s friendship, laughter, and a place for local seniors to come together and simply have FUN.

And your support helps us keep creating moments like these.

🎭 Purchase an individual ticket to the 61st Annual Charity Ball: The Society Masquerade Soirée on October 23 and make your night out mean something for your community.

Can’t attend? Consider making a donation instead. Every ticket purchased and every gift given helps Service League of Baytown continue programs like Golden Age throughout our community.

This is what partnership looks like!

A whole group of people who spend their days caring for, supporting, and showing up for the students of GCCISD — and a community that gets to show up for them, too.

Through our Partners in Education partnership with Goose Creek CISD Health Services, Service League of Baytown has the opportunity to support the staff working behind the scenes to help keep our local students healthy, cared for, and ready to learn.

Those gift bags may be what you see in the photo.

But appreciation, encouragement, and community are what’s really inside.

And there’s a place for you in this work, too.

Come spend an evening with us at the 61st Annual Charity Ball.

Bring your friends, buy an individual ticket, enjoy an incredible night — and know that simply being in the room helps Service League continue showing up throughout our community.

Can’t attend? A donation makes an impact, too.

A scholarship can help pay for college. But what it represents can mean so much more. 💜

It says: We see your hard work. We believe in your future. Keep going.

Through scholarships awarded to graduating seniors at local schools, Service League of Baytown is proud to invest in students who are ready to take their next step—and your support helps us continue saying YES to their futures.

Sometimes, you have to speak their language.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Service League members Danielle and Marci were inside one of our Baytown elementary schools providing vision screenings to some of our youngest students.

And when those littles aren’t quite confident with their letters yet? We adjust.

Instead of asking them to name what they see on the chart, we turn the screening into a matching game. They simply point to the matching symbol in front of them, allowing our members to complete an important screening in a way that feels comfortable and achievable for the child.

That small adjustment says so much about what really is.

It’s meeting people where they are. It’s finding a way to help. And it’s giving your time to something that matters right here at home.

Whether you join Service League, volunteer your time, support our projects, or attend an event, there is a place for you in this work.

Behind every classroom is a child who deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive. And behind every thriving student is a community willing to show up for them.

That’s why partnerships matter.

Through the Partners in Education program, the Service League of Baytown is proud to support the Health Services Department of Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District — helping strengthen the health, well-being, and success of students throughout our community.

This is more than a partnership. It’s an investment in the children who will shape our community’s future.

And it’s made possible because people like you choose to believe that serving our community matters.

When you purchase a ticket or become a sponsor of this year’s Service League fundraiser, you aren’t simply attending an event. You’re helping make partnerships like this possible. Your support allows us to continue showing up where our community needs us most — including in our schools.

✨ Want to be part of the impact? Learn more about joining Service League, purchase your ticket, or become a sponsor and help us continue the tradition of women serving their community with purpose.

Come celebrate with us. Come invest in our community. Come be part of what’s next!

For some families, the magic of Christmas can come with the very real weight of wondering how they’ll make it happen.

Through our Christmas Families project, the Service League of Baytown has the privilege of stepping in to help local families experience a Christmas filled with a little more joy—and a little less worry.

With the generosity of our members, donors, and community, we provide gifts, essential items, and support to families who need it most. But the impact goes far beyond what’s wrapped beneath the tree.

It’s the relief of a parent knowing their children will have something to open on Christmas morning. It’s the excitement on a child’s face. And it’s a reminder to a family that, during a difficult season, their community sees them and cares for them.

This is what community service looks like. And this is what your support makes possible. ❤️

Join us October 23 at the 61st Annual Charity Ball: The Society Masquerade Soirée and help us continue supporting meaningful community projects like Christmas Families throughout the year.
