Last week, the Knights finally replaced their old cupboards, which had been around since before we moved into our current building and were falling apart. After a careful operation to Ikea and lots of hard work in our room, the new ones were installed! During this process, we got a look at our wall painting from back when we moved into Luna (and since then has been nearly permanently hidden by our board games). We also got to see how large our collection actually is! So join us tomorrow during the board game evening and grab some games from our new furniture.

Two weeks ago, the Knights had their summer association weekend of this year. Lots of fun things were done. Of course, there were a lot of board games, plenty of roleplay sessions, a great LARP about pirates "yarrrrrrrr!" But also a lot of gezelligheid. There was some football (which was indistinguishable in quality from ~~an elementary school~~ the Eredivisie). Furthermore, there was an "infection" going around which people could "cure" by convincing others to say magic words, and more!

Thanks again to the amazing committee for organizing it, and we are looking forward to the next one in the winter!

It has now been 2 weeks since the Monopoly Race, and the rest of the race was incredibly fun. Some teams encountered a lot of difficulty, while others went back to Eindhoven to enjoy pizza, and others tried to go to Wendy's but ended up at the wrong franchise 😔.

Last Tuesday, the award ceremony took place in Leiden. Our dear Tim traveled and received a very warm and gezellig welcome. After enjoying a cocktail designed by their board, the results came in...

Team Battle Royally Fu**ed placed better than their name would imply. Despite getting NS'ed 3 times, they were only second to last at place 11.

Next up, Team Best Team Team came 2 places ahead of that. Despite not living up to their name, it was a very respectable result considering the amount of beer, schnitzels, and pizza consumed.

.s.s.v.duivelsei , .s.v.wyvern , and the Knights all made it to the top 3. In an extreme battle of planning and logistics, the results were Wyvern at 3rd and Duivelsei at 2nd. And then finally, Team Tycoons from the Knights ("Inne inne inne, team tycoon gaat winnen") placed first, bringing glory back to Eindhoven for the first time in 6 years.

Thanks again to Duivelsei for organizing such a fun event, and we are looking forward to Hide and Seek after the summer and another Monopoly Race next year!

Tonight we had another boardgame evening and to prepare for the Monopoly Race next week we played the Railroad Tycoon boardgame! Just like we raced across the eastern United States to establish the best railway company, next Friday we will race across the Netherlands to take awesome pictures and get points.

Get ready for the ultimate watch party! Our amazing member Tim went on First Dates, and tonight is the night we get to see it all unfold on the big screen. We'll be watching the episode together, discussing what happened and having drinks. The best part? Both Tim AND his date will be there in person to answer our burning questions and reveal what didn't make the final TV cut.

We love boardgames! And we all know that Terraforming Mars is objectively the best boardgame. But know what is even better than playing Terraforming Mars? Starting Terraforming Mars after the end of the normal boardgame evening until 05:30 in the morning and ordering the highest quality midnight delivery pizza.

Yesterday there was an amazing cross-over boardgame day with three of the student boardgame associations. The activity was hosted in Eindhoven by the Knights with Duivelsei from Leiden and de Fanaat from Enschede coming to visit! Lots of great games were played from Galaxy Trucker to The Heist to Terraforming Mars. The Knights chefs also cooked us some delicious pasta and we had a great time socializing with each other and are looking forward to any future cross-over.

Next week it is time for the open culture week again! During this week we are extra open and invite everybody to try us out. On Tuesday you can come play amazing boardgames with us, on Wednesday we will have epic one-shot roleplaying sessions and on Thursday we have some intense LARP-swordfighting. We cannot wait to see you all!

Hear ye, Knights! The gates of Eindhoven are opening wide! We are hosting a massive Crossover Boardgame Day with our valiant sister association: Duivelsei (Leiden) and Fanaat (Enschede)!

So wether you are a member of the Knights, Duivelsei or de Fanaat join us for the extra boardgame day. In the evening there also is a dininglist where we can feast on some delicous food toghetter (see Scala dining or internal announcement for more information).
