Hello! It’s me again, Rafał Starczewski, previously Internal Affairs, born in 2002, originally from a small village in Poland that no one knows, near Bydgoszcz, a city no one respects. Now I live in Eindhoven, where I’ve been studying Mechatronics at Fontys, but recently I’m doing more of AEGEE stuff than study stuff, which I actually like very much.

I joined AEGEE two years ago, and it quickly became one of the best parts of my life here, including
being part of an amazing board with people I can proudly call friends.
I want to continue our work, on a bit of a different position, to gain a new experience on the way.
I’m confident there are still things I can bring to the new board and things I can improve in the local with
the experience and knowledge I gained in my first board year.

My favorite event, ufff, that’s a tough choice, but one stands out for sure. Mojito Night with A-Aachen. It combined so many great parts that I love in AEGEE-Eindhoven and AEGEE overall. Great party with people I love, learning how to make your own Mojitos (I love Mojitos!), meeting with people from other locals (A-Aachen is incredibly chill!), drinking alcohol (helps shy people not being shy) and all of that was part of King Night and Kings Day, so afterwards we went to dance on the grass to techno. Best Night EVER!

As much as Porto Exchange was the best, Baltic Exchange is my current favorite. It was an impeccable week of activities. I went there with my previous board by van, we visited Lithuania and Latvia where we got one of the best city guides ever. The food felt like home while being cheap and all of that in cozy winter weather during independence days of these countries. But that wasn’t the end, after that we spent another week in Tartu, being hosted by Kaaaaarl and then being a Safe Person during EPM Tartu. I would repeat it anytime without doubts.

📸 Climate Anxiety & Action 📸

A few weeks ago, we hosted our Climate Anxiety & Action symposium at TU/e, where we explored one big question:

How can we turn climate anxiety into meaningful action?

From an inspiring panel discussion to interactive workshops, it was a day full of honest conversations, new perspectives, and practical ideas for taking action together.

A big thank you to our panelists for sharing their insights, and to and the for hosting inspiring workshops.

We’re also grateful to for working together on the panel discussion, and to .nl for helping make the event financially possible.

And of course, thank you to everyone who joined us! It was amazing to see so many people engage with this important topic, ask questions, and connect with each other 🤩

We hope to see you at one of our next events! 🌿💙

Exactly one year after our first trip, we decided to repeat the adventure to tulipsland. This time with more people, more bikes, more beer, more stroopwafels, and... more angry honking drivers? (the last one was not part of the plan, but anyone who has checked gas prices recently will empathize with their misery).

We traveled to Leiden, where we rented some OV fietsen that took us to Lisse and all its nice surroundings. Every few minutes we kept discovering new shades of tulip, causing us to inevitably stop and take all kinds of pictures of the landscape, satisfying our primitive Instagram needs and getting enough PRcie material for two decades to come. The planned route was over 50km, which we did at a relaxed AEGEE pace, and it kept us busy the whole day.

Halfway we had a peaceful picnic lunch in the gardens of the Keukenhof castle (not to be confused with the Keukenhof flower garden, which lay on the other side of the street, boilingly packed with tourists on such a sunny Sunday). Alexandra did some nice tulip face paintings, which got us ready for the afternoon's session of bikes and flowery landscapes.

As we biked back to Leiden, we recalled the considerable amount of tulips we saw in total (estimated at "tens of millions" by the majority, and at "certainly more than 5" by our most accurate observers). In any case, enough to quench our tulip cravings for one more year!
