My name is Emre Bilal, and this year Iโm Internal Affairs Officer at AEGEE-Eindhoven. Iโm 21 years old, I originally come all the way from a coastal city in Romania called Constanta and right now Iโm doing my 1st year of International Business Administration in Nijmegen.
I joined AEGEE-Eindhoven more than two years ago, back when I first came to this country only for work in Eindhoven. I remember vividly that the first activity I ever joined was the After-Intro Lasergaming, activity I almost missed because I couldnโt find it. And to be honest, I think that was my favourite memory here, since from the very onset, I was welcomed warmly by a nice bunch of people, some of whom are close friends of mine today.
Ever since then, I joined too many activities and exchanges in Eindhoven, the Netherlands and all over Europe. Through those, I got to experience firsthand how Dutch student culture was like, which in turn was the greatest factor in deciding to remain and study here instead of going back home. And despite the fact that I may be living and studying in Nijmegen right now, contributing to AEGEE feels to me more like repaying a debt. A debt Iโm more than willing to settle, since I owe them a lot of the good things happening in my life right now.
