Last Wednesday, we hosted the Healthy Helping workshop together with - an afternoon of lunch and conversation exploring how you can be there for others without sacrificing yourself.
We started with lunch and shared personal experiences: moments when helping felt natural, and moments when it didn't. In the workshop that followed, we went a little deeper - through exercises designed to explore your relationship with trust, vulnerability, and surrender, such as guiding each other through the room while blindfolded, and building a Lego house together - one of us without sight, the other without touch. This helped us feel what it's actually like to both give and receive support.
It was a warm afternoon full of honest reflection, and a good reminder that healthy helping starts with knowing your own limits too.
Thank you to everyone who showed up so openly, and to Ichthus for organizing this lovely workshop with us! 🧡
