Investing in women and young people is investing in the future of Bauchi State.

Yesterday, our Executive Director Rex Ojochegbe Stephen led a strategic advocacy visit to the office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Bauchi State.

During the engagement, we presented an advocacy brief titled:

“Strengthening Human Capital Development Through Increased Budgetary Allocation to the Ministries of Women Affairs & Child Development and Youth & Sports Development.”

Our advocacy emphasized the urgent need for increased investment in Gender-Based Violence prevention and response, women and girls' empowerment, youth leadership development, and the effective implementation of the Bauchi State Youth Policy. We highlighted that sustainable development can only be achieved when adequate resources are committed towards protecting vulnerable populations and empowering young people as drivers of social and economic transformation.

We commend the Ministry's commitment to inclusive development and appreciate the opportunity to contribute to conversations that advance human capital development, gender equality, and youth empowerment across Bauchi State.

Together, we can build a safer, more prosperous, and more inclusive future for all.

Today, Victus Impact Network had the privilege of hosting the State Director of the National Orientation Agency Bauchi State., for a strategic engagement focused on youth development, civic responsibility, and social transformation.
Our discussions highlighted the critical role of youth leadership in nation-building, the need to address voter apathy through sustained civic education, and the importance of helping citizens understand that their voices and votes truly matter. We also reflected on the challenges limiting the impact of youth-focused interventions, including funding constraints and persistent societal stigmatization that continue to affect vulnerable groups.

The State Director commended the efforts of Victus Impact Network in advancing youth leadership and community development initiatives across Bauchi State and emphasized the importance of intentional partnerships in creating sustainable impact.

As an organization committed to empowering young people and strengthening communities, we recognize that meaningful development requires collaboration between government institutions, civil society, and citizens. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with the National Orientation Agency to promote active citizenship, responsible leadership, and inclusive development.

Yesterday at Victus Impact Network, we gathered as a team for a capacity building session facilitated by our Executive Director, Rex Ojochegbe Stephen.

It was a moment to pause and reflect.

We stepped back from our day-to-day activities and had honest conversations about who we are becoming, not just as individuals, but as a team.

The Executive Director guided us through key reflections on leadership, personal development, and what it truly means to grow intentionally in a space of impact.

There were moments of clarity, moments of challenge, and moments that reminded us that the strength of our organization is deeply tied to the strength of the people within it.

This session wasn’t just about learning, it was about alignment, renewed responsibility, and a shared commitment to grow stronger together as Victus Impact Network.
