WHAT IS GOOD GOVERNANCE?

Good governance refers to the responsible, transparent, accountable, and inclusive exercise of authority in managing public resources, institutions, and policies — aimed at promoting equitable development, citizen trust, and sustainable outcomes._
🔑 Core Principles of Good Governance:
1. Transparency
Open access to information regarding decisions, budgets, policies, and performance.
Enables public scrutiny and informed participation.

2. Accountability
Public officials and institutions are answerable for their actions and decisions.
Mechanisms exist to enforce consequences for misconduct or failure.

3. Participation
Inclusive involvement of stakeholders — citizens, civil society, private sector — in decision-making processes.
Ensures policies reflect diverse needs and priorities.

4. Rule of Law
Fair, consistent, and impartial application of laws to all individuals and entities.
