In our culture, when the drumbeat changes, the wise dancer adjusts the steps.🪘

On Sunday, 21st June 2026, members of JCI A*o will once again attempt to convince everyone else that their culture has the best food, finest attire, richest traditions, and most impressive dance steps.

As always, the debate will remain gloriously unresolved.

Bring your colours. Bring your stories. Bring your pride.

And if you're claiming your culture has the best food, please come prepared with evidence.

UNITED BY MINDSET, DIVIDED BY LOCATION

Don’t be left behind today.

You’re from an African home. You were not raised to take things at surface level. Read the room. Recognize patterns. Be the Sodiki your Asake needs you to be.

Opportunities are time-bound. As you sign new contracts, build new relationships, and enter new rooms — stay locked in. Read body language. Follow up seriously. Apply close marking.

Because not every “I’ll get back to you” actually gets back to you.

And most importantly…Don’t go inside to wear your shoes for any reason 🌚🌚🌚🌚 (Carry your shoes around)

13 DAYS TO GO - Are Northerners truly uneducated?

Maybe we should remind one another that the North produced Ahmadu Bello, who founded Ahmadu Bello University, still one of the largest universities in Africa.

Aminu Kano was a fierce advocate for mass education at a time most of the country wasn't having that conversation.

Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai holds degrees from ABU Zaria and Harvard. Nuhu Ribadu contributed heavily to Nigeria's anti-corruption framework and studied at some of the world's top institutions.

This is without mentioning the excellence demonstrated by the Emir of Kano, His Highness Dr. Muhammadu Sanusi II - defending his PhD. thesis without any correction

Northern Nigeria has been home to Islamic scholarship for over 1,000 years, when Timbuktu and Kano housed renowned intellectuals Of course, Northerner are educated

THE UNVEILING || 4 GROUPS 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

For our General Assembly & Cultural Diversity Day, we are doing more than wearing outfits and taking pictures.

To make it even more exciting, members have now been grouped into four cultural teams

From the beats of the SouthWest to the pride of the Core North, the energy of the North Central to the spice of the SS/SE… one thing is already clear: nobody wants to come last 😭

🔰 Pick your side carefully.
🔰 Represent your culture passionately.
🔰 Start preparing your chants, colors, dance steps and bragging rights because this will be more than a presentation… it will be a cultural showdown. 🔥

Four Groups. Four Cultures. One unforgettable experience.

Who’s taking the crown?

15 DAYS TO GO - CULTURAL DIVERSITY DAY

Did you know some ancient Nigerian artworks were once argued to be “too sophisticated” to have been created by Africans?

The bronze works from Benin were so detailed and advanced that many Europeans searched for foreign explanations rather than accept the truth: Nigerians created them.

And honestly, that says a lot about us.

From the bronze casters of Benin, to the textile mastery of Kano, the philosophy and poetry of the Yoruba, the enterprise of the Igbo, the artistry of the Tiv, Nupe, Efik, Ibibio, Ijaw and many others, Nigeria has always carried genius within her people.

Sometimes, I think we are far more than we have been taught to believe.

There is history here.
There is brilliance here.
There is beauty here..
