Are you passionate about digital inclusion and making a difference in your community? Wootlab Foundation is seeking Field Officers to support the supervision and monitoring across selected Digital Community Centres and public primary schools.

Locations: Lagos, Ogun, Gombe, Cross River, Kwara, Kaduna, Borno, Abia & Imo

As a Field Officer, you will support on-ground monitoring, engage with facilitators and learners, document programme activities, identify implementation challenges, and help ensure effective delivery across assigned locations.
Who should apply?

We are looking for individuals who reside in or have reliable access to the listed locations, are comfortable with fieldwork, have good communication and digital skills, and can commit to regular physical visits to assigned centres and schools.

The most important room is the one where Nigeria's future is being shaped and last week, the Wootlab Foundation team was in it.

Our team joined leaders, development professionals, and changemakers at the National Leadership Conference 2026, hosted by GOTNI Leadership Centre at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja.

Under the theme "The Leadership Advantage: Aligning Vision, Driving Action and Delivering Results" the conversations went beyond inspiration. They challenged every person in the room to ask a harder question: not just what are we building, but are the right people, with the right thinking, leading the work?

At Wootlab Foundation, that question sits at the heart of everything we do. Because reaching more than 500,000 beneficiaries across the country does not happen by accident. It happens when leadership is intentional, when vision is clear, and when the people driving programmes are continuously sharpening their thinking.

That is why we showed up. And that is what we are taking back into the work. 💙

Some rooms change the way you think and the National Leadership Conference (NLC) 2026 was one of them.

Last week, our team stepped into the National Leadership Conference, the conversations that happened were not the kind you summarise in a caption. They were the kind that sit with you long after you leave the room challenging you to lead differently, think bigger and act with more intention.

At Wootlab Foundation, we do not just train young Nigerians to enter the workforce we stay in the rooms where the future of that workforce is being shaped.

Our latest Knowledge Development Session (KDS) had the whole team thinking long after the room went quiet. Our Programme’s Associate, Moses Michael Anzenge, led a session unlike any other: "The Theory of Change You Never Wrote."

Using two frameworks nobody expects to see together: the development sector's logframe and economic principles like opportunity cost, diminishing returns and compounding. Moses challenged every person in the room to interrogate their own life the way we interrogate a project proposal.

The key takeaway? We are quick to track every naira we spend, but we rarely stop to think about where our time is going. And the same seriousness we bring to planning a funded project, we almost never bring to planning our own lives, even though our lives are the most important project we will ever work on.

At Wootlab, our KDS sessions are more than meetings. They are reminders that the people building impact for others must also be intentional about building themselves.

On 20 August 2026, our Partnerships Officer, Goodnews Akwaowo, and Programmes Associate, Jennifer Alorye, joined government representatives, innovation hubs, development partners, academia and other ecosystem actors at the National Innovation Hub Standards Framework Stakeholder Validation Workshop, convened by the Office for Nigerian Digital Innovation (ONDI), under NITDA.

For us, the conversation went beyond how innovation hubs are assessed. We contributed to discussions on what happens after assessment, how emerging hubs can be supported to improve, and the importance of ensuring that standards recognise the maturity and realities of different hubs while still capturing their impact. We are grateful to ONDI and NITDA for creating space for stakeholders to listen, challenge ideas and collectively shape a framework that can support a stronger, more inclusive innovation ecosystem.

Our Engineering Intern at Wootlab Innovations, David Tor David, led a powerful and practical session on Financial Literacy Essentials, unpacking how digital skills and financial intelligence work together to build a truly secure future. We heard real-life experiences and honest conversations from the team, creating a truly engaging and collaborative learning environment.

The key takeaway? A digital skill earns you income, but Financial intelligence builds your wealth. Every young Nigerian needs both.

Teachers don't lose their passion. Sometimes the system buries it under paperwork.

Between lesson prep, grading and admin work, teachers lose hours they should be spending with students, and it's often the learners who pay the price.

Our latest Knowledge Development Sessions (KDS) had the whole team reflecting, and still does.

Our Office Assistant at Wootlab Innovations, Ukeme Akpan, led an inspiring session on Growth Mindset, unpacking the difference between "I can't do it" and "I can't do it... yet," and how that one word can completely change a person's future.

We heard honest reflections and real stories from the team, creating a truly engaging and collaborative learning environment.

The key takeaway? Your future isn't decided by your talent or your circumstances, it's shaped by your mindset. Becoming is always better than being.

In August 2025, Wootlab Foundation began a journey with the shared belief that where a person lives should never determine whether they have access to digital opportunities.
In Partnership with the American Tower Corporation (ATC) Nigeria, we started taking digital education directly into underserved communities across Nigeria through the ATC Digital Communities (DCs).

Today, that journey spans 17 states and 50 centres, and more importantly, it has already impacted over 25,000 beneficiaries, with strong inclusion outcomes of over 47% young women, reflecting a deliberate commitment to ensuring that women are not only included, but meaningfully represented in the future of digital work.

Behind every number is a real story: a young person learning to use a computer for the first time, a mother discovering digital skills that can increase her income, a graduate gaining confidence to apply for opportunities online, a community slowly beginning to see new possibilities.
This partnership is more than training programmes; it is about access, inclusion and ensuring that people in underserved communities are not left behind in a digital world. While we are proud of how far we have come, this is only the beginning.

Together with ATC Nigeria, we remain committed to building futures, one community at a time.
