GLOBAL NEWS RELEASE
Queen Hadassah Ibinyingi Allaputa Becomes the First-Ever Global Peace Flag Bearer unveiled at the United Nations
In a historic milestone for global peace advocacy, Hadassah Ibinyingi G. Allaputa has been recognized as the First-Ever Global Peace Flag Bearer, marking a significant moment in the global movement to amplify the voices of peace and inspire citizens across the world to actively participate in peacebuilding.
The recognition aligns with international peacebuilding efforts championed by the United Nations, which continues to support innovative grassroots initiatives that promote dialogue, unity, and sustainable peace within communities worldwide.
At the heart of this groundbreaking initiative is the IFP World Family Initiative-Global Advocates of Peace Flag Movement, a transformative global campaign designed to mobilize millions of individuals, institutions, and communities to raise peace flags as a symbol of commitment to non-violence, reconciliation, and social harmony.
A Global Movement for Peace
Under the leadership of Queen Hadassah, the movement aims to establish five million Peace Clusters worldwide—community-based groups dedicated to promoting peace education, conflict prevention, family and community dialogue.
Each Peace Cluster will serve as a local hub for peace action, bringing together:
• Youth leaders
• Women peace advocates
• Faith leaders
• Community organizers
• Educational institutions
• Civil society organizations
Through these peace clusters, communities will organize peace walks, peace education programs, interfaith dialogues, and youth engagement initiatives that strengthen the culture of peace across continents.
Raising the Peace Flag Across the World
The Global Advocates of Peace Flag represents unity beyond borders, cultures, religions, and political differences. As Global Peace Flag Bearer, Queen Hadassah will lead an national and international campaign encouraging governments, organizations, schools, and communities to raise the peace flag as a universal symbol of humanity’s shared commitment and contribution to peace.
This initiative seeks to transform symbolic advocacy into practical grassroots action, ensuring that peace is not only discussed in global forums but also practiced within neighborhoods, families, and institutions.
Empowering Women and Youth in Peacebuilding
A major pillar of the initiative is also empowering women and youth as frontline peacebuilders. Through leadership training, executive masterclasses, and community programs, the movement aims to equip the next generation with the skills needed to prevent violence, manage conflicts peacefully, and promote inclusive governance endorsed by United Nations women
This effort aligns strongly with global frameworks such as the Women, Peace and Security agenda, championed by the United Nations Security Council, which emphasizes the critical role of women in peace processes and sustainable development.
Building a Global Culture of Peace
The vision of the Global Advocates of Peace Flag initiative extends beyond advocacy. Its long-term goal is to create a global culture of peace, where individuals actively defend peace, protect peace, and promote peaceful coexistence in everyday life.
Through the formation of 5 million Peace Clusters, the initiative will reach communities across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East—making it one of the most ambitious grassroots peace mobilization efforts ever launched.
A Message from the Global Peace Flag Bearer
Speaking on the recognition, Queen Hadassah emphasized the urgency of collective action in a world facing rising tensions and conflicts.
“Peace is not the responsibility of governments alone. Peace belongs to every human being. When communities raise the peace flag, they raise the voice of humanity. Through the 5 million Peace Clusters, we are building a global family committed to protecting peace for this generation and the next.” Queen Hadassah
Looking Ahead
The coming months will see the global rollout of the Peace Cluster formation campaign, alongside international peace walks, youth leadership programs, and diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening collaboration among governments, international organizations, and civil society.
As the First Global Peace Flag Bearer, Queen Hadassah Ibinyingi Allaputa’s leadership signals a bold new chapter in global peace advocacy—one that empowers ordinary citizens to become extraordinary ambassadors of peace.
Peace begins with one voice.
