EDUCATION IS LIGHT: ACKNOWLEDGING HON. YAJI NOAH'S SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT TO NKST SECONDARY SCHOOL KORINYA
By Gusha Philip
A quote says, “Gold and silver are good, but they are not the pride; the pride is education, for education is light and life itself.”
I strongly agree with this because education is indeed light, hope and life. He who gives someone education has given that person a better future and the knowledge to create value beyond what money alone can provide.
It is against this background that I wish to publicly acknowledge and appreciate Hon. Yaji Noah, Chairman of Hope Brisk for Youth Initiative, for his scholarship support to numerous students of NKST Secondary School, Korinya.
Although the scholarship intervention took place in the past, I recently discovered it and felt compelled to bring it to public attention for proper acknowledgement. As a certified teacher and a lover of people who demonstrate goodwill, I believe acts of genuine kindness deserve to be recognized, especially when they positively affect the lives of young people.
Hon. Yaji Noah has demonstrated that philanthropy is not limited to those who hold political offices. Without holding a political position, he has continued to support vulnerable people and contribute to the wellbeing and development of young people.
Supporting a student's education is an investment in a life. A scholarship can keep a child in school when financial difficulties threaten to end their education, reduce the burden on parents and open the door to a brighter future.
This is not the first time Hon. Yaji Noah has demonstrated concern for his community. Two years ago, he also made a remarkable intervention through his support towards the renovation of the River Ugbabena Bridge, showing that his commitment extends beyond education.
Gold and silver may be spent, but the knowledge gained through education remains a lasting asset. The life of one educated and empowered young person can positively influence a family and, ultimately, an entire community.
Therefore, Hon. Yaji Noah, your scholarship support to the students of NKST Secondary School, Korinya, is worthy of recognition and appreciation. You have shown that one does not need a political position to make a meaningful difference in society.
May God continue to bless you, strengthen you and replenish every resource you have used to put smiles on the faces of others.
Hon. Yaji Noah, thank you for being a giver of light, hope and life through education.
