Open Heart participated in the KADSACA Q1 2026 Quarterly Review Meeting, held on 21st April 2026 at the Kaduna State Ministry of Health. The meeting convened government agencies, development partners, and CBOs working to strengthen the HIV response in Kaduna State.

Our team, alongside AGYW champions, contributed actively, sharing field realities and feedback from GEF-supported interventions, particularly on access, stigma, and youth-responsive service delivery.

Spaces like this matter. They ensure that community voices are not just heard, but inform decisions, strengthen accountability, and shape more inclusive, effective responses.

Seen. Heard. Celebrated. Always. 🌈

This Le***an Visibility Week, we honor the courage, resilience, and brilliance of le****ns everywhere. In a world that too often responds with silence, stigma, or exclusion, visibility becomes power, and existence becomes resistance.

You are not alone. You are valid. You belong.

Let’s continue to build spaces rooted in love, dignity, and respect, where everyone can live freely and authentically.

Across our communities, harmful narratives and punitive laws continue to fuel hate, rejection, and silence against already vulnerable populations. Too many are forced to live in fear, excluded from care, dignity, and basic human respect.

In this video, our Executive Director makes a clear call:
we must do better.

Inclusion is not optional.
Dignity is not negotiable.
Humanity is not selective.

We must be intentional, about how we speak, how we act, and how we create spaces where everyone can exist safely and freely.

Because at the end of the day, coexistence is not built on fear or judgment
it is built on love, respect, and shared humanity.

On World Health Day, we are reminded that no one should be denied access to healthcare because of who they are, where they come from, or what they believe.

Discrimination has no place in health. Every person deserves safe, inclusive, and stigma-free access to care.

Open Heart continues to advocate for equity, dignity, and health for all because everyone deserves a chance to live well.

Today, on World Health Day, we reflect on the impact of community-driven health action.

Through our recent outreach in partnership with the NYSC Health CDS group Kaduna State, Open Heart reached the general population, AYPs, AGYWs, and key populations with vital health information and services.

We provided health education, free testing for HIV, viral hepatitis, and malaria, and ensured that all sensitive cases were safely and appropriately referred for further care.

This is what health equity looks like bringing services closer to the people, breaking barriers, and ensuring no one is left behind.

Sexual assault is real. The trauma is real. And too many are still suffering in silence.

This month, we raise awareness on the realities of sexual violence, the fear, the pain, the lasting emotional and psychological impact survivors carry.

But silence protects harm. Speaking up creates change.

Let’s stand together to support survivors, challenge stigma, and build safer communities for all.

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

No one deserves abuse. No one should suffer in silence.

This is a reminder to every survivor: you are not alone, your voice matters, and support is available. Speaking up is not weakness, it is strength.

Let’s continue to break the silence, challenge stigma, and create safer spaces for AGYWs and LGBTQ+ communities.

On March 24, Open Heart marked World TB Day with a road walk, engaging the public on the importance of early testing, treatment, and ending stigma around Tuberculosis.

The outreach sparked meaningful conversations, increased awareness, and reinforced a simple truth: TB is preventable and curable but only if we act early.

The movement continues. Ending TB starts with awareness, and awareness starts with us.
