VISION

….to reduce in significant numbers the suffering that homeless cats and kittens endure.

Only 3 tiny female kittens dumped at the shelter this week. Good thing as we still had a lot of work to get the shelter cleaned from the flood. Now we are holding our breath in anticipation of Hurricane Simone over this weekend and praying that all animals and people are safe.😩 Thanks to all our faithful volunteers and to all the generous folks who donated time and money to keep the shelter running!!🙏🙏🙏🙏

Due to the approaching hurricane Simone, we have made the decision to cancel taking kittens to PetCo this weekend!😿 Our foremost priority is always the safety of the animals and our volunteers. 🙏 Thank you for your understanding.

The new dryer was installed at the shelter and is working fine! 😺 Thanks to Carlos Gadea for getting his technician out there to do the hookup to the gas!🙏🙏 A repairman was able to get the mud cleaned out of the washing machine motor and said it might last a bit longer.

Thanks to the Thursday volunteers we got a lot accomplished at the shelter! The casitas and clinic are all clean but the bodega has be cleaned and reorganized. The flood mud makes staying clean difficult until it dries out!😩 Four new scared kittens were found. The yard cats were so happy for a sunny day and all the kitties eager for some attention.😺

Teresa, Gertie, Tiger (and Boni) will be back at the PetCo Adoption Center this weekend hoping to meet that special person and find a Forever Home!😺 A volunteer will be there to introduce you on Saturday from 10-6:00 and Sunday 10-4:00, We really don't want to have to send them back to the crowded shelter where flood damage is still being cleaned up! Adoption fee is only $500 pesos and they are already vaccinated and sterilized....and you get PetCo coupons!
