UPDATE
Hurricane Simon reached landfall, then changed direction…heading back out to the water! Our community (and the rest of PV) is safe! NO wind, NO rain ( just the normal summer rain)…what an amazing answer to prayer!!!

Hurricane Simon is coming. Andy is helping the community prepare for the arrival of hurricane Simon. At gardenia they are tying everything down.
Andy and Luz have shopped for 300 bottles of water, electrolytes drinks, granola bars and other non-perishable food.
Both Gardenia House and Honeysuckle Place are strong structures and will be open during the storm so people can come in for protection.
Please pray for their protection and that they feel God’s peace during this time. Thank you.

Every weekday, Christina and Alicia prepare a hot and hearty meal for children in the community. On Friday, 71 children came for a meal. It’s a time when they can safely gather, chat, eat and be prayed for and they love coming.

It is with sadness that we confirm that the news about the violence in Jalisco, and Puerto Vallarta, is real. We have been receiving live reports and videos since the violence began this morning. Due to the graphic nature of this situation, we will not be posting any pictures. We also wish to protect those that are sending us updates, as the locations can be easily identified. Videos and news reports are easily found on other sites. Our concern at this time is for the citizens of Puerto Vallarta who find themselves caught in this violence. There has been considerable damage to vehicles, businesses and property. In a recent update, the destruction had escalated to buildings burning down. Janet and I had planned to return to Puerto Vallarta in early March, but may have to reconsider depending on how this all develops. Please pray for the people there.
