Hair to Harvest: Turning Hair into a Greener Future

This initiative by the Hair & Beauty Federation (HBF) transforms hair waste from local salons into organic compost to support sustainable farming in Malta.

How It Works

Collect: Salons store hair waste in dedicated HBF recycling bins.

Process: HBF collects and recycles the hair into nutrient-rich compost.

Grow: Farmers use the fertilizer to nourish crops and reduce environmental waste.
