Continuing the conversation, strengthening the network. 🗣️🧠

Following two enriching days of CORE Training, today we reach the fulcrum of the EU-PROMENS programme in Malta with the Advanced Training, bringing together professionals from diverse backgrounds to deepen discussions, exchange expertise and explore innovative approaches to promoting mental health and wellbeing.

The past days have highlighted the value of learning from one another, building meaningful connections and recognising that stronger mental health support systems are created through collaboration across disciplines and sectors. Today's Advanced Training builds on that foundation, offering an engaging and empowering space for reflection, leadership and professional growth.

The quality of discussion, openness and commitment shown by participants throughout the week and this morning is a testament to the collective effort required to foster resilience, inclusion and wellbeing within our communities.

Yesterday, SOS Malta officially launched the EU-PROMENS Training in Malta at Dar l-Ewropa, with the CORE Training sessions taking place yesterday and today, and the ADVANCED Training scheduled for Friday. The initiative brings together professionals committed to strengthening mental health support, collaboration and good practice within our communities.

We were honoured by the presence of Dr Mario Sammut (Head of the European Parliament Liaison Office in Malta), whose participation highlighted the growing importance of placing mental health and wellbeing at the centre of discussion and action.

A warm welcome was also extended to Vitalii Klymchuk from the leading organisation behind EU-PROMENS, as well as to our trainer Maria-Gabriele Doublesin leading these valuable sessions.

The strong interest shown in this initiative reflects the importance of continuous professional development, multidisciplinary collaboration and stronger mental health support systems across our communities.

SOS Malta is proud to host this important European initiative and looks forward to the meaningful discussions and exchange of expertise taking place throughout these sessions.

💞June marks a very special milestone – 10 years of A Meal for A Meal For A Meal
https://amealforameal.com/
a partnership between SOS Malta and Romy Foods!

A journey that has transformed simple acts of generosity into thousands of opportunities for children and families in need in Uganda. Launched in June 2016, the initiative began with a simple yet powerful idea: for every meal sold, another meal would be provided to a child in need.

Over the past decade, we have witnessed the transformative impact that a nutritious meal can have on a child's education, health, wellbeing and future opportunities. We have also seen the strength of partnerships, communities and individuals coming together to make a difference where it matters most.

At SOS Malta, we are proud to have been part of this journey from day one. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Romy Foods, its founder Rickard Gillblad, our supporters, partners and all those who have helped turn this vision into reality.

As we celebrate this remarkable anniversary, we remain committed to the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Together, we look forward to building on this legacy and creating even greater impact in the years ahead.
Ten years. Millions of meals. Countless futures changed.

💙 Every child deserves to be safe, heard, and protected.

Today, on International Missing Children’s Day, we join organisations across Europe in raising awareness of the thousands of children who go missing each year and the families affected by their absence.

Through the campaign, we stand in solidarity with missing children and their loved ones, providing support and guidance to children and families across Europe.

Together, we can help keep hope alive and ensure that no child is forgotten.
