🌍 Supporting Grassroots Conservation Across Two Continents: Welcome, Joshua Moodie! 🚴♂️
We are thrilled and honored to announce our partnership with British endurance cyclist Joshua Moodie as he prepares for an extraordinary, world-first expedition: "Atlantic to Pacific – The Long Ride East."
Starting this September, Joshua will embark on a monumental, entirely unsupported 15,000-mile (24,000 km) bicycle journey from Land's End, UK, all the way to the Pacific coast of Russia. Over the course of a year, he will cross two continents, dozens of countries, high-altitude mountain passes, and the remote steppes of Central Asia and Mongolia—all completely solo and without a support vehicle.
What makes this journey truly special is Joshua’s deep commitment to giving back. Rather than riding purely for adventure, he is using his platform to highlight and raise vital funds for small, grassroots conservation and community organizations operating along his route including right here with us at the Zoological Society Luujin! As an organization dedicated to protecting Mongolia’s unique wildlife, fragile habitats, and endangered species, we know how critical grassroots support is. Joshua’s journey will also be captured in an upcoming documentary, bringing global visibility to the frontline conservation work happening in remote corners of the world.
