♥️ Our RCRI family keeps growing!
Last night we had the great pleasure of pinning our new member, Anne O’Driscoll, warmly welcomed by our President Ilaria Sisto and PDG Guido Franceschetti.
🥰 Irish and Italian, and living here in Rome, Deirdre brings a remarkable international journey: a distinguished career in human resources and international healthcare recruitment, from Ireland to Saudi Arabia - where she served as Director of International Nursing and Paramedical Recruitment for the National Guard Health Affairs in Riyadh - and, since 2005, as an independent consultant connecting healthcare institutions across Ireland, the UK, Australia and the Middle East with the right professionals.
Her ability to build bridges across cultures is exactly what makes Rotary Club Rome International special: a club where different backgrounds, languages and experiences come together in friendship and service.
⭐️Every new member is a sign of our continued growth and of the bonds of friendship that hold us together. We look forward to working alongside Deirdre on the many projects ahead.

Yesterday, at Sapienza University of Rome’s Faculty of Engineering, Rotarians from across Europe came together for the Founding Meeting of the International Rotary Clubs of Europe (IRCE).
A day of dialogue, shared vision and friendship, laying the foundations of a new network built on service beyond borders.
The day ended with a wonderful dinner, where conversations continued, new connections were made and the spirit of Rotary fellowship shone through.
Heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us, and to Rotary Club Rome International (District 2080) for hosting this milestone.
This is only the beginning. 🤝

Today, Rotary Club Rome International had the honour of being present at Palazzo Montecitorio - the seat of the Italian Chamber of Deputies - for a landmark convegno dedicated to one of the defining challenges of our time: how technology is reshaping education for the citizens of the third millennium, also attended by PDG Daniela Tranquilli.
The Sala della Regina - one of the most distinguished and rarely accessible spaces within the Italian Parliament - hosted the official presentation of “Technology and Learning”, the outstanding volume co-authored by Prof. Rosemary Sage (Universities of London, Leicester and Buckingham) and Riccarda Matteucci, Educational Consultant. ❤️Riccarda Matteucci’s contribution to this field goes far beyond academic research: ⭐️it is a genuine and sustained commitment to transforming how students learn, how teachers teach, and how institutions evolve in the face of technological change. We are proud to have been part of this occasion.
🥰PDG Guido Franceschetti delivered a compelling reflection that connected Rotary’s long-standing commitment to education with the imperatives of the digital age.
For Rotary Club Rome International, and our President Rtn Riccardo Ernesto Di Vizio, today was not simply attendance at a prestigious event. It was an affirmation of who we are.🏆

🥢✨ An evening dedicated to China, its culture, history and extraordinary culinary tradition. 🇨🇳

More than just a dinner, this evening became a journey through centuries of dialogue between East and West — from the Silk Road and Marco Polo to the timeless values of hospitality, friendship and sharing that unite our cultures even today. 🌍

Through every dish, every story and every conversation, we discovered how Chinese cuisine is much more than food: it is philosophy, balance, ritual and art passed down over thousands of years. 🍵🥟

From delicate Cantonese dim sum to the rich traditions of Sichuan and Shanghai cuisine, the evening allowed us to experience the beauty of one of the world’s oldest civilizations not as spectators, but around a shared table — the place where understanding truly begins. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this special cultural evening filled with fellowship, discovery and connection. 🤝✨
