Today, Rotary Club Rome International had the honour of being present at Palazzo Montecitorio - the seat of the Italian Chamber of Deputies - for a landmark convegno dedicated to one of the defining challenges of our time: how technology is reshaping education for the citizens of the third millennium, also attended by PDG Daniela Tranquilli.
The Sala della Regina - one of the most distinguished and rarely accessible spaces within the Italian Parliament - hosted the official presentation of “Technology and Learning”, the outstanding volume co-authored by Prof. Rosemary Sage (Universities of London, Leicester and Buckingham) and Riccarda Matteucci, Educational Consultant. ❤️Riccarda Matteucci’s contribution to this field goes far beyond academic research: ⭐️it is a genuine and sustained commitment to transforming how students learn, how teachers teach, and how institutions evolve in the face of technological change. We are proud to have been part of this occasion.
🥰PDG Guido Franceschetti delivered a compelling reflection that connected Rotary’s long-standing commitment to education with the imperatives of the digital age.
For Rotary Club Rome International, and our President Rtn Riccardo Ernesto Di Vizio, today was not simply attendance at a prestigious event. It was an affirmation of who we are.🏆

🥢✨ An evening dedicated to China, its culture, history and extraordinary culinary tradition. 🇨🇳

More than just a dinner, this evening became a journey through centuries of dialogue between East and West — from the Silk Road and Marco Polo to the timeless values of hospitality, friendship and sharing that unite our cultures even today. 🌍

Through every dish, every story and every conversation, we discovered how Chinese cuisine is much more than food: it is philosophy, balance, ritual and art passed down over thousands of years. 🍵🥟

From delicate Cantonese dim sum to the rich traditions of Sichuan and Shanghai cuisine, the evening allowed us to experience the beauty of one of the world’s oldest civilizations not as spectators, but around a shared table — the place where understanding truly begins. ❤️

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for this special cultural evening filled with fellowship, discovery and connection. 🤝✨

💢On Wednesday, 27 May 2026, the Sala della Regina at Palazzo Montecitorio - the very heart of Italian parliamentary democracy - will host a landmark convegno on one of the most pressing challenges of our time: how technology is reshaping education for the citizens of the third millennium.
We are honoured to celebrate the presentation of “Technology and Learning”, the outstanding volume authored by Prof. Rosemary Sage (London, Leicester & Buckingham Universities) and riccarda matteucci , Educational Consultant - a work that bridges academic research and real-world classroom practice with intellectual rigour and extraordinary vision. Riccarda Matteucci’s contribution to this field is not merely scholarly: it is a genuine commitment to transforming how students learn, how teachers teach, and how institutions evolve. We are proud to be part of this occasion.
The programme features institutional greetings from the Vice President of the Chamber of Deputies, Hon. Anna Ascani, and Members of Parliament Hon. Simona Bonafè and Hon. Irene Manzi, alongside contributions from schools in Rieti and Genoa, the Department of Education of New York City, and leading medical voices on technology and cognitive development.
Rotary Club Rome International is proud to bring its voice to the floor, with a dedicated address by our President Rtn Riccardo Ernesto Di Vizio and PDG Guido Franceschetti on “Rotary, esperienza sul campo” - reflecting Rotary’s unmatched capacity to translate ideas into service and fellowship into impact.
A heartfelt tribute goes to Rotary Club No. 6 New York, whose partnership and support have made this international dimension possible. The bond between Rome and New York, between service and scholarship, is Rotary at its finest.

«The Cultural Bridge between Rome and Egypt» — a landmark evening at the magnificent Sala della Protomoteca, Campidoglio.

Rotary Club Rome International was proud to be part of this extraordinary cultural initiative, bringing together history, diplomacy, and shared civilisation in one of Rome’s most iconic settings.
The evening featured a remarkable address by , one of the world’s foremost Egyptologists, who guided the audience through the mysteries of ancient Egypt with extraordinary passion and authority. The event was masterfully conducted by .
A significant institutional moment preceded the programme, in the presence of the Mayor of Rome, ; testament to the deep cultural and symbolic resonance of the initiative.
We were honoured by the participation of H.E. , Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, whose presence lent further diplomatic weight to this dialogue between our two great civilisations.
The evening proved a genuine space of connection: across cultures, across centuries, across peoples. Rome and Egypt: two ancient worlds whose shared roots continue to inspire.

⭐️A Morning to Remember | Rotary Club Rome International♥️
Some places carry the weight of history and the lightness of the human spirit in equal measure. This morning, we had the privilege of experiencing one such place - and the extraordinary person who guards its soul.❤️
We were welcomed at one of Rome’s most unique and profoundly moving sites: a cemetery that is, in truth, a living monument to human equality and freedom. Here rest souls from 65 nations and 50 different religious confessions, side by side, in the eternal democracy that only death - and great humanity - can offer.
At the heart of this miracle stands Dr. Yvonne Anna Mazurek, PhD; a director of rare intellectual depth, cultural sensitivity, and genuine passion. 💢Her vision for this place transcends the merely administrative: she curates a space where every tradition is honoured, every faith respected, and every story told with dignity. To hear her speak about this cemetery is to understand that she does not simply manage it: she inhabits it, intellectually and spiritually.
❤️As our own John Douglas Stewart so movingly demonstrated, reciting passages of Keats with intensity and feeling before the poet’s own resting place, this is a site that awakens something in all of us.
🧚♀️There are no walls here between peoples, between beliefs, between nations. Only the shared condition of our humanity.🙏🏻

On March 12, the Rotary Club of Rome International had the great honor of conferring Honorary Membership upon Holger Knaack, Chair of the Rotary Foundation and Past President of Rotary International.👏🏻

It was truly an exceptional evening! 🥰 One filled with friendship, inspiration, and a shared commitment to the values that define Rotary.

⭐️Holger embodies the spirit that our club strives to live every day: international understanding, service above self, and the belief that dialogue and cooperation can build a better world. These are also the founding principles of Rotary Club of Rome International, a club that brings together different cultures, professions, and perspectives under the same purpose of service.
