European Week of Sport Seminar Series Concludes with Free Access to Recordings, Summaries and Federation Materials.

We are pleased to publish the session summaries, recordings, presentations, and supporting materials from the European Week of Sport (EWOS) Seminar Series, organised by the European Sports for All Union (UESPT) and the International Sports for All Federation. The publication of this material allows all interested organisations, federations, National Olympic Committees, ministries, schools, and sport-for-all stakeholders to follow the sessions on demand and free of charge.

With this release, the EWOS Seminar Series formally concludes. The series brought together 110 registered participants across four online sessions, involving 14 international sports organisations and creating a valuable platform for exchange, cooperation, and the promotion of sport for all worldwide.

The seminar series was designed not only to present different sports and international federations, but also to create a common space where organisations could share experiences, identify good practices, and explore opportunities for future cooperation. Throughout the sessions, speakers demonstrated how sport can contribute to health, inclusion, education, community development, gender equality, safeguarding, and international understanding.

FISpT – International Sport For All Federation, operating globally as World Sport for All, is pleased to announce the acceptance of the World Confederation of Billiards Sports (WCBS), representing Billiards Sports, in the membership category COMMITTEE MEMBER (SPORT). Grieta Steenkamp will serve as the WCBS representative to FISpT.
Founded in 1992 and recognised by the International Olympic Committee since 1998, WCBS is the world governing body for the Billiards Sports of Carom, Pool and Snooker. It unites these sports internationally through its member federations: the Union Mondiale de Billard (UMB), the World Pool-Billiard Association (WPA), and the International Billiards and Snooker Federation (IBSF), which also governs English Billiards.
WCBS works with its member federations to promote Billiards Sports worldwide and strengthen their representation in international multi-sport events, including The World Games. Each member federation retains autonomy in the administration and development of its respective disciplines.
Billiards Sports combine precision, concentration and strategic thinking with opportunities for social connection and lifelong participation. Played recreationally and competitively around the world, they offer scope to engage people of different ages and backgrounds, from newcomers in local clubs to athletes on the international stage.
Through its membership, WCBS will seek opportunities to work with FISpT and its wider network to encourage participation, share experience and promote inclusive sporting environments. This complements WCBS’s commitment to the development of Billiards Sports, particularly among young people, and to fair play, equality and athlete welfare.
“We are delighted to welcome WCBS into the World Sport for All family,” said Marco Tomasini, CEO of FISpT. “Billiards is a discipline that unites people of all ages and backgrounds, transcending cultural and geographic boundaries. Its global community aligns perfectly with our vision of sport without barriers, where every individual has the opportunity to participate, compete, and thrive. This partnership will help us advance inclusive participation, share best practices, and create new opportunities for collaboration across both our networks.”
“Billiards Sports have so much to offer people at every level, whether they are picking up a cue for the first time or competing internationally,” said Grieta Steenkamp, WCBS representative to FISpT. “This membership reflects our commitment to making our sports more accessible and encouraging wider participation. We look forward to the opportunity to work with FISpT and its members to introduce more people to Billiards Sports and support their continued involvement.”
The membership reflects a shared interest in making participation in sport more welcoming and accessible, and in building stronger connections between Billiards Sports and the Sport for All movement.

World Sport for All Admitted as Associate Member of The Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport

World Sport for All is proud to announce that it has been admitted as an Associate Member of the Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS).

This achievement represents a major milestone for the global Sport for All movement and provides further legitimacy to World Sport for All’s role as a leading global organisation dedicated to promoting sport, physical activity, health, inclusion, and social development for all.

The admission of World Sport for All to AIMS is the result of a rigorous governance review conducted over the past year, as well as a strong institutional commitment to strengthening the organisation’s membership structure, transparency, integrity, and accountability.

Through this process, World Sport for All has reaffirmed its commitment to preserving the integrity of sport, promoting responsible governance, and protecting from conflict and rivalry within the wider Olympic family.

“This is a defining moment for World Sport for All and for the entire global Sport for All community,” said Marco Tomasini, CEO of World Sport for All. “Joining AIMS confirms the credibility of our organisation, the strength of our governance, and the importance of Sport for All as an essential pillar of the international sports movement. We are honoured to become part of the AIMS family.”

The Alliance of Independent Recognised Members of Sport (AIMS) is an International Olympic Committee (IOC) Recognised umbrella organisation representing international sports federations that are not yet recognised by the IOC but are seeking to develop within the Olympic Movement.

Founded in 2009, AIMS is one of the five umbrella bodies within the international sports structure, alongside ASOIF, AIOWF, ARISF, and the associate members. Its mission is to strengthen individual sports, share expertise and knowledge, promote good governance, and maintain close cooperation with the IOC in support of the development and eventual recognition of its member federations.

AIMS provides its members with a collective voice within the global sports community and plays an important role in supporting the growth, credibility, and institutional development of emerging and non-Olympic sports.

Membership in AIMS is therefore a significant recognition of an organisation’s governance standards, global reach, and commitment to the values and principles of the Olympic Movement.

This milestone is a central objective of World Sport for All’s overall Strategic Plan and has been achieved shortly before the organisation’s General Assembly, which will be held in Antalya.

The achievement reinforces World Sport for All’s position as a global leader in the Sport for All sector and strengthens its capacity to represent the interests of its members, partners, and communities worldwide.

It also creates new opportunities for international cooperation, institutional dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and joint initiatives with other members of the AIMS communities.

As a member of AIMS, World Sport for All will also join the programmes of United Through Sports (UTS) and is pleased to become part of the UTS family.

United Through Sports (UTS) is an international alliance established under the umbrella of AIMS in 2017. Its mission is to promote inclusion, unity, equality, education, and youth empowerment through sport. UTS brings together sports organisations, federations, governments, NGOs, cities, and communities to create opportunities for young people across all five continents.

UTS organises international multi-sport events, festivals, tournaments, and educational programmes that place young people at the centre of sport. Its work promotes healthy lifestyles, equal opportunities, youth leadership, and social inclusion, while ensuring that events are open to young people of all abilities.

By joining UTS, World Sport for All will contribute to and benefit from a global platform dedicated to using the power of sport to build a more inclusive, healthy, and united society.

World Sport for All considers this admission not only as recognition of its past work, but as a commitment to its future development. The organisation will continue to expand access to sport and physical activity, strengthen its international network, promote ethical and transparent governance, and support the role of Sport for All in health, education, social cohesion, and sustainable development.

World Sport for All extends its sincere gratitude to AIMS, its members, partners, and the entire international Sport for All community for their trust and support.
