🇩🇪 CE-PRINCE partners gathered in Leipzig for the 5th INTERREG CE-PRINCE Steering Committee Meeting!

Partners from across Central Europe came together to discuss the next implementation phase of circular and green public procurement activities. ♻️

During the meeting, we focused on:
🔹 Circular and Green Public Procurement strategy
🔹 Public sector pilot actions
🔹 Capacity building for public administrations
🔹 Peer-to-peer learning and dissemination activities
🔹 Pilot actions and support for enterprises
🔹 Monitoring, reporting and next project steps

One of the highlights was an expert presentation on practical C/GPP implementation in the Leipzig city administration, including real municipal experience from the catering sector.
The meeting was also a great opportunity to exchange experiences, strengthen cooperation and continue working together towards more circular and sustainable procurement practices in Central Europe.

🙌 achieves an important milestone!

A new CEPRINCE analysis explores how circular economy principles are integrated into Green Public Procurement systems across Central Europe.

The study focuses on:
✔ agrifood🫛
✔ construction🏗️
✔ manufacturing⚒️
✔ tourism-related sectors⛵️

The assessment applies 19 circular economy principles based on ISO 59004:2024 and the EU Circular Economy Action Plan.

The analysis highlights that while national systems generally follow EU priorities, there are still significant differences in how circular economy principles are integrated across sectors and countries.

It also identifies the need for:
▪ stronger durability and repairability requirements
▪ better life-cycle approaches
▪ improved circularity indicators
▪ more systemic circular procurement models

🌍 The results will support future CEPRINCE pilot tenders and the development of upgraded circular procurement criteria across partner countries.

Wiele instytucji postrzega zielone zamówienia publiczne jako trudne i kosztowne. Tymczasem skuteczne wdrażanie GPP można rozpocząć od prostych, praktycznych działań — bez konieczności rewolucji organizacyjnej.
Podczas szkolenia zostaną omówione najważniejsze korzyści wynikające ze stosowania zielonych zamówień publicznych, w tym:
• ograniczenie emisji, zmniejszenie ilości odpadów oraz poprawa jakości powietrza,
• niższe koszty w dłuższej perspektywie,
