MAITREE CULTURAL ASSOCIATION (MCA) is a non-profit organization, (Regn. No G.B.B.S.D/1396/M.S/MUMBAI) formed in 2014 with the intention of enhancing cultural, artistic and social experience through activities which in turn will build a conscientious generation next. Committed to working together without any bias towards caste, creed, language or gender, we have utilized our funds towards organisin

g several social, cultural and educational events throughout the year that attracts hundreds of families from within the community. Some of the events organized so far include conducting Art Workshop, Song, Dance & Draw workshop, Flower Rangoli Workshop, Rakhi Making Workshop at Divya Prabha -Home for Girls in Distress, Desire Society – Home for Orphan Children, holding Recitation and Drawing Competitions for the children in the area of dance and music, providing a platform for amateur actors as well as publishing the creations of aspiring young poets and writers. DURGA PUJA : The celebration of good over evil. This is our showcase event covering five days and is embedded with cultural events, presentedDurga Puja both by members and professional performers from across the country. We are celebrating Sarbojanin Durga Puja on a grand scale at Swagat Park (opp Goregaon Sports Club, Malad West, Mumbai) since 2014. Thousands pour in every year to join the festivities as well as be a part of the audience that witnessed the variety of cultural events put up every evening during Durga Puja. Encouraged by the overwhelming response we have also been organising Kali Puja and Saraswati Puja (Vasant Panchami). MCA is guided by people who are eminent personalities in their own field and is driven by the enthusiasm of its dedicated members. In our fast paced modern life, we at Maitree Cultural Association have made our humble effort to reconnect ourselves and especially our next generation to our roots, our traditions, our folk art & culture, our ethnicity and our deep values, things that somehow take the back seat at times against our unending material desires.

With a heavy yet hopeful heart, Maitree Cultural Association bids Maa Durga farewell today. After five beautiful, vibrant days of Durgotsav, our beloved Mother returns to her abode. We cherish every moment of her stay, knowing the immense joy and blessings she showered upon us all.

A Heartfelt Thank You to every single visitor, participant, and well-wisher who graced our grounds: Thank you! Your enthusiasm and presence transformed this celebration into a true festival of togetherness. The laughter, the anjali, the dhunuchi naach, the bhog; these memories will sustain us until next year.

This grand celebration would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors and well-wishers. Your belief in our vision and your contribution helped us take this event to a spectacular scale, ensuring a memorable and magnificent Durgotsav for everyone. We extend our deepest gratitude for your partnership and support.

This spectacular Durgotsav was the culmination of months of dedication, late nights, and tireless efforts of our members. We extend our deepest gratitude to every single member of the Maitree family.
