This Mother’s Day, we celebrate mothers who choose to begin again ❤️
Meet Deepali.
Deepali had to leave school after the 8th grade. After marriage, life quickly became centred around responsibilities, supporting her family, managing the household, and raising her young daughter.
While her husband drove an auto-rickshaw to support the family, Deepali worked in different households to help make ends meet. But despite it all, her dream of studying never truly faded.
Through CRY’s counselling sessions and community engagement programs, Deepali began to realise that education could change not only her own future, but also the example she set for her daughter. She wanted her child to grow up believing she, too, could dream big and become independent.
Despite long workdays, household responsibilities, and motherhood, Deepali made the courageous decision to return to her studies. With determination and support from CRY, she appeared for her 10th-grade exams, passed with 53.40%, and is now preparing for her 12th standard.
Today, she dreams of completing her graduation and building a more independent future for herself and her daughter.
Because when a mother rises,
a child’s future rises with her. ❤️
