Through CRY’s Hockey for Her initiative, adolescent girls in Jharkhand are using sport as a pathway to confidence, leadership, and new possibilities for their future. 🏑💛

Here’s to breaking barriers, chasing dreams, and owning the field — one match at a time. Go girls! 💪✨

Forced into the Devadasi system at 13. By 30, she was changing thousands of lives.

Shobha Gasti didn't just break free, she built a movement. Through her AMMA Foundation, she has freed 3,600 women, prevented 378 child marriages, and kept 1,30,000+ children in school across 97 villages.

Since 2017, CRY has been proud to walk alongside Shobha, strengthening her community-led work on education, child marriage prevention, and building systems that protect children long after we leave.

Recently honoured with the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Award, her story is proof that one woman's courage can rewrite the future for thousands 💛

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate mothers who choose to begin again ❤️

Meet Deepali.

Deepali had to leave school after the 8th grade. After marriage, life quickly became centred around responsibilities, supporting her family, managing the household, and raising her young daughter.

While her husband drove an auto-rickshaw to support the family, Deepali worked in different households to help make ends meet. But despite it all, her dream of studying never truly faded.

Through CRY’s counselling sessions and community engagement programs, Deepali began to realise that education could change not only her own future, but also the example she set for her daughter. She wanted her child to grow up believing she, too, could dream big and become independent.

Despite long workdays, household responsibilities, and motherhood, Deepali made the courageous decision to return to her studies. With determination and support from CRY, she appeared for her 10th-grade exams, passed with 53.40%, and is now preparing for her 12th standard.

Today, she dreams of completing her graduation and building a more independent future for herself and her daughter.

Because when a mother rises,
a child’s future rises with her. ❤️

This Mother's Day, we celebrate mothers who change the course of their children's lives.

Meet Sunita.

Life took an unexpected turn when she lost her husband. From that moment on, the responsibility of her family rested entirely on her shoulders. At one point, marrying her daughter early felt like the only way to cope.

But Sunita chose differently.
With the support of CRY's parent counselling sessions, community groups, and awareness programs, she began to see what was possible, not just for today, but for her children's future. Because when mothers are informed and supported, they don't just face circumstances; they choose a better path for their children.

She chose education.
She chose independence.

She chose to rewrite her children's future.
Today, her daughter is training at a Police Academy, and her son is completing his education, both stepping into a future she made possible
At CRY, we work with mothers like Sunita, because when a mother rises, a child's future rises with her.

Behind every number is a child whose life has changed, and that is what makes this year truly meaningful.

As we reflect on 2025–26, we do so with immense pride and gratitude. Together, we have impacted the lives of 23 Lakh children, a milestone made possible by the support of our community and the collective commitment of everyone working towards a shared purpose.

Our annual review was more than just a look back at the year gone by. It was a space for the team to come together, celebrate achievements, exchange fresh insights, and brainstorm bold ideas for the road ahead. Every discussion, every idea, and every reflection was centred around one larger mission, to reach every child and ensure no child is left behind.

As we step into 2026–27, we carry forward this momentum with renewed purpose, stronger resolve, and a continued commitment to keeping children at the forefront of everything we do.

Here’s to another year of creating impact, inspiring action, and building a better future for every child.

This Earth Day, our young changemakers from CRY project in the west, took to the streets with courage, creativity, and a message that matters

Through their very first street skit, they raised awareness about protecting the Earth, keeping our surroundings clean, and adopting better habits for the environment.

Their voices encouraged the community to pause, reflect, and think about the world around them.
