Project Nanhi Kali is jointly managed by the K C Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) and the Naandi Foundation . We strongly believe that empowering girls with education will positively impact their families, communities and benefit India in the long term. With support from individual and corporate partners like you, Since 1996, Project Nanhi Kali has educated over 4,80,000 underprivileged girl children from poor urban, remote rural and tribal communities across the country.

When one girl learns, an entire family moves forward.

Through Project Nanhi, Snehal gained digital skills and then shared them with her parents, proving that learning is most powerful when it’s passed on.

Her story shows how education creates ripples far beyond the classroom. That is the “Power of One”!

A parent’s belief can change a girl’s world. 🌍💛

This Global Day of Parents, our Nanhi Kalis express their gratitude to the unwavering support systems in their lives.

The girl who was once told to stay quiet now speaks with confidence and clarity.

Watch this reel where Snehal, a Nanhi Kali, talks about what it means to be a girl who dares to dream.

Periods should never decide whether a girl shows up — in the classroom, on the field, or for her own dreams.

That is why access to menstrual hygiene is not just about care. It is about creating the conditions for girls to participate fully in everyday experiences and in opportunities that shape their future.

By ensuring an annual supply of menstrual hygiene materials for every girl supported by the project, we are helping young girls move through every month without hesitation, shame, or disruption, enabling them to focus on learning, growing, leading, and simply being themselves.

This World Menstrual Hygiene Day, we reaffirm the importance of building an environment where every girl feels supported, prepared, and empowered to move forward with confidence. 💛

In a world where girls are rewriting what’s possible every day simply by showing up, our Nanhi Kalis are inspired by them and dream of doing the same. 🏃‍♀️⚽

Because when girls are given the space to play, lead, and grow, they don’t just participate in sports, they redefine it.

They bring resilience that keeps them going, even when it’s tough.

They build confidence to take charge, on and off the field.

They learn teamwork, lifting each other as they move forward.

They develop discipline, showing up with focus and intent.

And slowly, sport becomes more than a game, it becomes a space that shapes who they are, and who they can become.

For Shivani, every day brings a chance to play, learn something new, and be her best self. ⚽✨

With access to sports, supportive spaces, and opportunities to learn beyond the classroom, she’s building confidence, discipline, and the joy of showing up, every single day.

From playing in a village to competing at the national level!

One opportunity led to another, and our Nanhi Kali found her way to Toofaan Games!

With every step, her confidence soared higher than her long jump.

Here’s to dreams that find their way, when given the right chance. ✨

She said yes to something she had never imagined for herself, encouraged by Aparna, a fellow Skills Associate, who saw her potential and gently nudged her to take that first step.

With that support, Geeta didn’t just take on a new role, she grew into a whole new version of herself.

Today, she’s not just part of the game, she’s helping create a space where girls feel seen, supported, and ready to rise.

From starting out in sports with hesitation to now coaching and mentoring young girls on the field, Geeta’s journey shows how courage creates new paths, not just for you, but for everyone who follows.

Every medal won by a woman becomes a mirror of possibility for countless girls watching. 🏹✨

As Deepika Kumari, Ankita Bhakat and Kumkum Mohod bring home gold at the Archery World Cup 2026, they also remind every Nanhi Kali that dreams are worth aiming for, no matter where you begin.

Congratulations to the Indian women’s recurve team for inspiring a generation of girls to aim high and believe in their own potential. 💙

Every morning, she doesn’t just braid her hair.

She sends her out carrying dreams she once had to leave behind.

When we’ve spoken to mothers of our Nanhi Kalis,
one feeling echoes in every story,
“Maine nahi kar payi… par meri beti zaroor karegi.”

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate these quiet promises. 💛
Mothers who may have paused their own dreams,
but are making sure their daughters never have to.

Because behind every confident girl
is a mother who believed in her dreams even before she could.
