To the Family of Sir Samuel Changsan and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
The members of ADSU are deeply saddened to learn the passing of Sir Samuel Changsan, Honourable Executive Member of Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.
His dedication to the development of the district and tireless efforts towards the welfare of our people have left an indelible mark on Dima Hasao. We have lost a visionary leader and a compassionate public servant.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved and colleagues. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace and may the family find the strength to bear this irreparable loss.

April 1st – Basain Gisim (Black Day)
Today, we observe Black Day to honor the 35 Martyrs of Chekarcham. On April 1, 2003, these brave individuals gave their lives for our community.
We remember their great sacrifice with heavy hearts. Their courage helps us stay strong and keeps us moving forward together. We promise to keep their memory alive for the generations to come.

We on and for behalf of All Tribal Students' Bodies of Dima Hasao,Assam would like to request each and every one to support and join us on the protest of inclusion of 6 communities in to the ST status which was passed by the Assam Govt on 3rd of Dec 2025 at Lal Field,Haflong. So all are welcome and make a mass Rally a grand success.

We are deeply grieved and outraged by the tragic demise of Ms. Rosmita Hojai,a young woman from *Sontila, Hojai (Dima Hasao, Assam), who had been missing from Delhi since 5th June 2025 Her body being recovered from Pauri Garhwal district in Uttarakhand is a matter of profound sorrow and grave concern.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to her bereaved family, friends, and community. Their loss is immeasurable, and we stand in solidarity with them during this painful time.

At the same time, we strongly condemn the heinous crime committed against Ms. Rosmita. Such a brutal act is inhuman and absolutely unacceptable in a civilized society. The individual or individuals responsible must be held fully accountable under the law. We urge the investigating authorities to conduct a prompt, impartial, and thorough investigation so that justice is not delayed or denied.

This tragic incident also highlights the urgent need for stronger measures to ensure the safety and protection of women, especially those from marginalized communities who often remain unheard.

We once again express our deepest sympathy to the family and reaffirm our commitment to supporting their demand for justice.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
