The Chief Executive Member of BKWAC, Mr. Mihiniswar Basumatary, and the President of UBPO, Mr. Manuranjan Basumatary, along with representatives from UBPO, TMPK, GNSM, and the All Assam Bengali Youth Student Federation, visited the ongoing construction of the Guide Bundh-cum-Road from 3 Mile to Bogibeel Bridge today to assess the progress. The project will serve as an important link for better transportation and connectivity in the region, and is also expected to develop into a potential tourism spot, enhancing the scenic and economic value of the area.

As a part of the ongoing election campaign programme under Rajakhana GP, a series of meetings and interactions are being conducted across different locations today as per the scheduled time. The campaign aims to strengthen grassroots connection, create awareness, and ensure active participation of the people. Key campaigners and representatives from various organisations are taking part in this initiative, visiting Udaipur, Rayang Hontapara, Rayang Boro, and Rayang Milonpur to engage directly with the public.

A team of Swnab Sanjari Anchalik Committee, UBPO along with Silapathar Anchalik Committee, UBPO organised a meaningful meeting with the villagers of Swrangsri Bodo Village to discuss the various grievances and challenges faced by the local community.

The village, situated in the middle of the Brahmaputra River, continues to suffer from severe communication gaps due to its remote and river-isolated location. The lack of proper transportation, network connectivity, healthcare access, and educational facilities has made daily life extremely difficult for the residents.

During the interaction, villagers shared their concerns regarding poor road connectivity, irregular boat services, limited access to emergency healthcare, and lack of government attention. The meeting served as an important platform for the people to voice their issues and seek support for long-term solutions.

The meeting was attended by:

The programme concluded with a strong commitment towards addressing the long-standing issues of the people and working collectively for a better future.

A team from Dhemaji District representing UBPO, ULDC Ex-BLT Welfare Society, and ABWWF attended the solemn ritual ceremony of Late Khaoni Goyary, beloved mother of Mr. Baneswar Goyary (Office Secretary, UBPO).

The ceremony was held at Gogamukh Baligaon, where members gathered to pay their heartfelt respects, express deep condolences, and stand in solidarity with the bereaved family during this moment of grief.

May her departed soul rest in eternal peace, and may the family find strength and comfort in this difficult time.

A team of campaigners visited Mechaki Chapori village under Laimekuri Panchayat to carry out an extensive election campaign and awareness programme. During the visit, the team held meaningful interactions with the local residents, carefully listened to their grievances, and discussed in detail the various challenges faced by the people, especially due to the lack of proper infrastructure and basic facilities in this remote and riverine area. The visit highlighted the urgent need for development, better connectivity, and improved public services for the villagers.

The key campaigners present during the programme included Jonaram Brahma (Edu. Secy, UBPO), Ajay Khaklary (GS, DDC ABSU), Bilambar Kherkatary (GS, ULDC Ex-BLTWS), Miss Sila Basumatary (President, DDC ABWWF), Mr. Hemkanta Daimary (President, DDC GNSM), Mr. Somnath Mohilary (AGS, DDC UBPO), Hari Basumatary (Secretary, DDC UBPO), Guneswar Daimary (Organising Secy, DDC UBPO), and Jarow Basumatary (Office Secy, DDC ABWWF), who actively engaged with the community and assured them of continued support and attention to their issues.
