This year, the Soccer Blitz has successfully raised an impressive €12,883.00 to date. We would like to express our gratitude to Tony (Butch), Anthony, Michelle, and the entire Doran family for their tremendous efforts in organizing this fantastic event. Anthony had his hands full coordinating all 47 teams participating in the Soccer Blitz, and everything ran smoothly under his leadership.
A special thanks goes to Briain Curtin from Whoop for generously donating the fantastic Virgil van Dijk signed jersey for our raffle, and to Elaine Cullen for her substantial contribution towards the Portaloo rental. We also appreciate D&W Crash Repairs for their kind sponsorship of medals for all the kids that participated in the tournament, and a shout-out to Jordan Newman for sponsoring the hotdogs. We are grateful to Wicklow Town AFC, the Groundsmen, and all the Referees and Pitch Coordinators for their invaluable support in making this event possible.
We would also like to recognize the girls who managed the shop: Freddy Hamilton, Katie Duffy (Musgraves), and Boodhan (Coca-Cola), who generously supplied all the treats for the day. Additionally, our heartfelt thanks go to Tesco (Blue Chip). A fantastic group of volunteers sold tickets at SuperValu and Centra Rathnew, as well as on the day of the event, contributing significantly to the success of the raffle.
