🇮🇪💚 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS 💚🇮🇪

What a proud moment for everyone at New Ross Swimming Club as our very own Emersyn Scully represents Ireland at the World Para Swimming European Championships 2026 in Kocaeli, Turkey! 🇮🇪🏊‍♀️🌍

Emersyn has worked incredibly hard to earn her place on the Para Swim Ireland Team, and seeing her wearing the green of Ireland on the international stage is something very special. 💚 We hope she enjoys every moment of this fantastic experience and we know she will give it everything she has when she takes to the blocks. 💪⭐

And Emersyn isn't the only NRSC representative in Turkey! A huge shout-out to our Head Coach, Fran, who is also at the Championships, putting her tremendous experience and coaching skills to great use with the Irish team. 👏🇮🇪 Having both a swimmer and our Head Coach representing at a European Championships is a wonderful achievement for our little club in New Ross and something we are immensely proud of. 💚💙

Emersyn, enjoy every second, swim your heart out and know that the whole NRSC family is behind you! 🦆💚

And to Fran — we know the team is in very capable hands! ⭐

🌟 An Evening to Remember 🌟

From start to finish, what an incredible evening for our young swimmers! 🏊‍♀️💚
They had the wonderful opportunity to meet and learn from European champions Danielle, Ellen and Mona — three remarkable women who have done so much for Irish swimming. 🇮🇪🏆

Straight off the back of the European Swimming Championships 2026, they so generously gave their time to work with these swimmers, share their experiences and offer plenty of encouragement. Their warmth and enthusiasm made it an evening these young swimmers will remember for a very long time. 💫

A huge thank you to Mark and the team at the Apex for facilitating the event, Michael Sheehan for welcoming these accomplished athletes to our town and Fran Ronan for being instrumental in bringing them to New Ross. Thank you also to all the swimmers who came along and embraced this fantastic opportunity. 👏

The ladies were presented with beautiful flowers from the Apex 💐, while New Ross Swimming Club was delighted to give them a taste of Wexford, including Greenhill Wexford strawberries 🍓, locally made granola from Peas and Love, and some other locally sourced treats.

Danielle, Ellen and Mona have inspired a whole new generation of Irish swimmers and we wish them every success as their journeys continue. 🇮🇪💚🏊‍♀️
