💚💛 I think we will all agree that tonight was a very special night for the boys of Mayglass National school. A lovely evening where the boys were presented with not one but two gold medals, one for the District Final and the other for their County Final, they also received a framed team photo from their memorable County Final in Wexford Park. They were joined on the night by players from the winning teams back in 1994 and 1997. A night that will be talked about for a long time and one that will always remain in our memory.

Refreshments were served afterwards and a huge thank you to Our Lady's Island National School parents association Scoil Mhuire for looking after us so well as always, to those that baked or brought goodies and to anyone who helped in any way to make the evening so successful.

Let's hope we have many more nights like this in the future, we certainly have the talent to be able to achieve this again 💚💛

⚽️⚽️ Past pupils Cormac White & Aaron O'Leary are part of the under 17 Wexford CBS All Ireland winning team who are going to the ISF world cup in China. They are holding several soccer summer camps to help raise funds for the trip and would appreciate any support you can give them. Info of all camps are below, best of luck boys ⚽️⚽️

🥇🥇 We will celebrate our fabulous Rackard League Team tomorrow evening in Our Lady's Island Community Centre at 7.30pm and all are invited to attend. The boys will be presented with their medals and will be joined by the 1994 & 1997 winning teams.

Refreshments will be served afterwards so we hope to see you all there to celebrate this very special occasion 🏆🏆

Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.

🎓🎓🥰 A very special day in Mayglass today when we all gathered to wish Ms Nora Lacey all the best in her retirement. Nora has served in Mayglass National School for a very long time and was one of the kindest teachers you could meet, helping so many children along the way. Her musical contribution to the school was outstanding, she is a very talented musician. A beautiful poem was read out by Mr Day and our 6th class pupils spoke in turn of how Nora has impacted all their lives during their education. A tree was planted in the school for Nora, and we will now watch it grow just as Nora has watched so many children grow during her time here. As a token of our appreciation to Nora, the Parents Association along with the school presented her with some gifts and the whole school finished off by singing a beautiful song Count on Me. We wish Nora all the very best in her retirement, thank you for all that you have done, you will be missed in Mayglass 🎓🎓🥰

🌞🌞 Another fabulous day for sports day, lots of fun, games and laughter for the kids of Mayglass National School. The Parents Association were delighted to be able to fund the inflatables and the all important visit from the ice cream van. All the children, teachers, helpers and spectators were treated to a lovely 99, the perfect way to cool down 🍦😎
