Another incredible week of the Connect 4 Summer Camp!🌟

Earlier this month, Narrative 4 Ireland hosted the second Connect 4 Summer Camp of 2026, which brought together an amazing group of young girls for a week of connection, creativity and growth!💫

Throughout the week, 18 inspiring girls engaged in a range of creative and artistic workshops, developed life skills and formed meaningful connections. 🧩

Highlights of the week included a painting workshop from The Painted Pot, inspiring words from Limerick's own Jackie McCarthy O'Brien, and a visit to Fota Wildlife Park! 🎨

The Connect 4 Summer Camp aims to empower young migrant girls by building their confidence, encouraging meaningful relationships, and opening them up to new experiences. Throughout the week, participants explored the impact of storytelling, strengthened their empathy, and developed valuable skills for creating positive and lasting connections with others. 🗣

A huge well done to all involved! 👏

Day 7, and the final day of celebrating Civic Engagement Day at St. Mary's Glasnevin!🌟

What better way to conclude the week than by celebrating the school's achievement of the Narrative 4 Gold Empathy School Award! 🏆

This award recognises the outstanding commitment shown by St. Mary's to fostering empathy, kindness, and meaningful connections throughout their school community. 🙌

The celebrations included inspiring words from Principal Ms. O'Donnell, followed by reflections from students, who shared their thoughts on empathy and its importance in a school setting. ✨

Congratulations to everyone who made Civic Engagement Day such a memorable success. A special mention to the St. Mary's 'Empathy Squad' for their hard work and enthusiasm in organising such an inspiring week of activities! 💜

Day 5 of Celebrating St. Mary's Glasnevin's Civic Engagement Day! 🎉

🧵Activity 5: Bracelets of Connection and Reflection 🧵

For this activity, first year students worked with their peers to create friendship bracelets, which symbolised the positive connections they have built within their new school community. 👐

They also took time to reflect on their journey since starting in September, thinking about the friendships they’ve formed and the positive experiences that have helped them feel more settled and connected in school life. 📚

A great way to highlight how connection and shared experiences help build stronger communities!💜

Day 4 of Celebrating St. Mary's Glasnevin's Civic Engagement Day!✨

🧩Activity 4: The Chain of Compassion & The Wall of Kindness. 🧩

To create the 'Chain of Compassion', students each wrote a word connected to empathy on a coloured sheet. These were then folded and linked together to form a large chain. ⛓️

Students also contributed to the 'Wall of Kindness' by writing different acts of kindness along a wall, creating a powerful collective display of positive action.💪

Together, these activities showed students how small, positive actions, when combined, can create a much larger collective impact. 🌍

Day 3 of celebrating St. Mary's Glasnevin's Civic Engagement Day! 🙌

☕Activity 3: Hug in a Mug ☕

For this activity, students developed 'wellbeing toolkits' which included inspirational quotes, relaxation tips, and daily actions to support positive wellbeing. 🧠

This encouraged students to reflect on how they can support their own wellbeing, whilst recognising how simple acts of kindness and support can help them better understand and empathise with others. 💜

Students also enjoyed some well-deserved hot chocolate during this activity! ☕👏
