Support BBQ that is safe, healthy and social. Keep members informed about competitions around the world, including information about rules & regulations, etc. Provide licenses for organizations for all national and international championships. Provide official worldwide results

of all confirmed licensed barbecue events. Ensure that the sport of barbecue effectively includes the public at large. Provide opportunities for the marketing and selling of barbecue and grilling devices, accessories, leisure-time equipment, and food. Provide local and worldwide opportunities for manufacturers to make marketing contacts by displaying and demonstrating their products at any of our events. Offer the media full access to barbecue events so that the reporting thereof will spread positive messages worldwide. Informing the public about BBQ events through newsletters, newspapers, magazines and websites. Publicizing products and trends, as well as giving information and competition results.

Wir möchten alle deutschen Griller einladen, weiterhin Teil der WBQA zu sein, ob als Grillteam oder Juror – wir freuen uns darauf, mit euch weiter die Grills anzufeuern, gutes Essen vorzulegen, unsere internationalen Freundschaften zu feiern und die guten Seiten des Lebens zu genießen.
Alles hat zwei Seiten und aus Sicht der WBQA wurde der internationale Gedanke von der GBA nicht mitgetragen. Was wir von unseren WBQA-Vollmitgliedern, also Nationalverbänden, jetzt konkret fordern: Sich dem globalen Gedanken zu verpflichten und ab 2029 die Teilnahme von mind. einem nationalen Team bei internationalen Veranstaltungen zu gewährleisten. Wenn das nicht passiert, sind internationale Veranstaltungen schlichtweg nicht international. Gerade Deutschland braucht da keine Bedenken zu haben, denn allein schon eure Black Pearl BBQ Crew, Wild West BBQ, und die Rhöner Heimatgriller sind von unseren Meisterschaften gar nicht mehr wegzudenken. Diese Teams sind generell Paradebeispiele, wofür die WBQA steht!
Wir wollen euch, liebe deutsche Griller, und auch euch, hochgeschätzte Juroren, und bitte meldet euch gerne direkt bei uns, wenn ihr beispielsweise jetzt am 5. & 6. September auf der Kölner Messe während der Fire & Food BBQ-Week mitmachen wollt: [email protected], nächstes Jahr bei der WM in Mexico, die alles in den Schatten stellen wird, 2028 dann der Intercontinental Cup mit Europameisterschaft in Österreich, bevor es 2029 nach Brasilien geht!

Since GBA is no longer a member of the WBQA, we are now working together with Fire & Food , Europe’s leading barbecue magazine. Fire & Food is kicking things off with a bang by hosting the WBQA European Barbecue Championship first weekend of September, which will take place in Cologne’s exhibition center during Fire & Food BBQ Week. We are thrilled to have found a partner in Fire & Food that is a perfect fit for the WBQA, and we look forward to this new collaboration!
