Limerick's World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims A special memorial mass will take place in St. Munchin's Church, Clancy Strand, Limerick at 11.30am on the third Sunday in November.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Munchin's Church, Limerick at 11.30am on Sunday 20 November 2022 to remember all those who have been affected by road traffic accidents. Sunday 20th of November is World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. The third Sunday in November each year is a time to remember the many millions killed and injured on the world’s roads, together with their families, frie

nds and many others who are also affected. It is also a day to thank our emergency services and reflect on the tremendous burden and cost of this daily continuing disaster to families and communities. Over the 10 year period from January 2007 to December 2016, a total of 2,920 people have lost their lives on the roads on the island of Ireland. 2,145 of these occurred in the Republic of Ireland and 775 were in Northern Ireland. These figures don’t include the countless numbers left with life changing injuries over the same period.

We would like to invite families & friends who have lost loved ones on our roads, to attend mass at 11.30am this Sunday, 16th November at St. Munchins Church, Clancy Strand as we celebrate World Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims.

We invite you to bring along a framed photograph of your loved one to place on the before mass.

Please share and invite those who would take comfort in attending.

RSA And Applegreen Team Up To Offer Free "Coffee or Tea" To Drivers

The offer, as part of the campaign, is available from 2pm to 8pm on Friday, February 2 and on Monday, February 5.

Drivers can redeem a free coffee at any of the "participating" Applegreen sites nationwide on those days by quoting ‘RSA’ to the till operator. Tea is also an available option.

Thank you to all the families who attended today's mass at St. Munchins Church in Remembrance of our loved ones, who we have tragically lost on our roads.

We would like to thank Canon Dónal Mcnamara for the beautiful mass and to the choir who sang some beautiful hymns.

Today we think of the families of the 153 people (RIP) who have lost there lives on our roads in 2024. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all 💕💞
