Our June Newsletter is here! 🌟
Discover Limerick’s soul — one story, street and flavour at a time.
This autumn, The People’s Museum of Limerick and Limerick Civic Trust invite you to step into the living heart of our city.
Join our guided walking tours and explore the stories behind Limerick’s most iconic landmarks — the bridges that span the Shannon, the mighty walls of King John’s Castle, the soaring beauty of St. Mary’s Cathedral, and the historic Treaty Stone. Wander through the city’s distinct quarters and feel how centuries of history still shape the streets beneath your feet.
From 11–13 September, as part of the Linger Limerick Festival, we’re offering special food-trail walking tours. Taste the city’s vibrant culinary heritage while discovering the people, places and traditions that have flavoured Limerick for generations. History and food, side by side — the perfect way to linger a little longer.
Then, from 30 September to 7 October, the Limerick History Festival returns with a rich programme of talks, stories, discussions and fresh perspectives.
Hear from renowned historians, writers and passionate storytellers as we explore the people and events that built the city we love.
Whether you’re a lifelong local or a curious visitor, these experiences offer more than just knowledge — they offer connection.
Connection to place, to community, and to the living heritage that belongs to all of us.
Tickets for the walking tours are available via Eventbrite or by emailing [email protected].
More details on the History Festival coming soon.
Come walk with us. Come taste with us. Come listen with us.
Limerick’s story is still being written — and you’re invited to be part of it.
