Today LCT team was out at Saint Munchin’s Graveyard — keeping the grounds tidy, looking after the planters, and making sure this important historic place stays respectful and welcoming for everyone who visits.

These quiet, everyday jobs don’t always make the headlines, but they’re a big part of protecting Limerick’s shared heritage.

Our June Newsletter is here! 🌟

Discover Limerick’s soul — one story, street and flavour at a time.

This autumn, The People’s Museum of Limerick and Limerick Civic Trust invite you to step into the living heart of our city.

Join our guided walking tours and explore the stories behind Limerick’s most iconic landmarks — the bridges that span the Shannon, the mighty walls of King John’s Castle, the soaring beauty of St. Mary’s Cathedral, and the historic Treaty Stone. Wander through the city’s distinct quarters and feel how centuries of history still shape the streets beneath your feet.

From 11–13 September, as part of the Linger Limerick Festival, we’re offering special food-trail walking tours. 🌳 Native Apple Trees planted in Janesboro Park! 🍎

Today we planted 10 apple trees native to Limerick right here in Janesboro Park!

This beautiful project is a collaboration between Limerick Civic Trust, Simon from Seed Savers, and the residents of Janesboro, led by Cllr. Sarah Kiely.

A wonderful step towards greening our area and preserving local biodiversity 🌱

Huge thanks to everyone who came out, got their hands dirty, and helped make this happen!

Exactly 11 months ago, we planted these apple trees together.

It was our shared social initiative for the city — to bring more greenery, more life, and more good deeds that outlive us.

And today, the first little apples have already appeared on the branches — still small, but so real and full of promise ❤️

This is more than just fruit. It’s a beautiful reminder that everything we do with love and faith will eventually bear fruit.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this.
