We are registered with the Charity Regulator's office. Our main operation is at the Millennium Centre, the Square Caherconlish and we also own and manage the Caherconlish Tennis Club via an effective and dedicated subcommittee. A children’s playground is installed on the grounds of the Millennium Centre thanks to the efforts of a dedicated group of parents with great local support. Management Board
The Centre is managed by 11 voluntary members of the board of directors, with support from 6 staff members and a dedicated and dynamic group of valuable volunteers who help out in the preparation and delivery of all services delivered at the centre. Without these resources, the centre would not function. The Board meets once a month to
• oversee the activities of the centre
• to plan for the upcoming events
• review finances and reserves
• Human Resources
• Make decisions that maintain efficient operation and continued viability for a very busy multipurpose community-based facility. The centre underwent a refurbishment programme in 2021 with the objective of reducing our energy bills and go 'green'. This involved the following - installation of;
* a bank of PV solar panels on the roof of the centre
* all lighting in the building has been switched to more energy-efficient LEDs.
* an air curtain has been installed at the main entrance, to reduce heat loss, and * all cavity walls have been pumped with insulation. The Millennium Centre will now be in a position to generate most of its own electricity requirements. The board is: W.Power, S.Pratt, M.Ryan, C.Carroll, M.Walsh, K.English, M.Heffernan, R.Donovan, B.Doyle, K.Hickey, N.Lane.
