Lovely Beaver meeting yesterday evening in Lough Gur. Our venture Lauren came along to help with map reading and compass directions. She also talked about the Leave No Trace Principles. We played games, NSEW and did a “northerly”nature scavenger hunt!

Ballybricken Scouts are deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of one of our former members, Brendan O’Regan, who was a member of the group for a number of years from scouts to ventures, continuing his scouting journey in 33/40th Milford/Monaleen Scout Group.
Brendan is fondly remembered by the leaders and past scouts in our group. We have found comfort today smiling at the memories of the many camps and activities with Brendan, a great young person, so friendly and full of fun, and above all, he was always willing to do his best.
We offer our deepest condolences to Brendan’s family, friends and girlfriend. May Brendan rest peacefully.

Lovely evening with the Beavers. We are very lucky to have a trail Holycross to Bruff nearby. We picked blackberries and admired the beautiful views. We even spotted rabbits! Well done to Aoife our Beaver of the week. She’ll be taking care of “Chip” for the week 🦫

Cubs had a fantastic first evening back! They introduced themselves to each other, went through what they like about scouts and what they like outside of scouts. They decorated their folders and practiced the promise. Started and finished with dodgeball.
