On my European travels I found myself in Kandersteg for a day or two and it was packed with Irish Scouts. Ballally, Greystones and Johnstown all over there as one big group with an unbelieveable number of 103 Scouts, Ventures, Rovers, Scouters and 1 Cub for good measure. I was able to catch Ballybricken cooking dinner before heading out for pizza with all the Irish staff working in KISC this summer, and finally on the way home, I met the scouts from Willington as they were returning from a day's white waterrafting.

Kandersteg is an amazing place, I love it there myself, so it's brilliant to see so many Irish groups enjoying it. Safe travels all.

Cubs had their final meeting until September in Lough Gur this evening. Well done to Abbie on presenting her Special Interest Sewing and introducing us to beautifully crafted Sammy and Ben! Bravo to Fionn who presented his Knot Board, earning him a Stage 2 Pioneering Badge! Our incoming Cub Section Leader Brian Kiely presented Cubs with the badges they have earned. We wish those moving on from Cubs the very best of luck and welcome those moving from Beavers to Cubs. Hope everyone has a lovely summer!

Beavers had a fantastic pirate themed camp at Limerick Scout County Campsite Curraghchase The Beavers were amazing and made new friends with Newcastle West Scouts - 11th Limerick who were so helpful and friendly. For some it was their first time sleeping in a tent. Well done to all of them. We hope they a lovely summer and we look forward to seeing them in September!
