Credit to Maow Care for the tips on searching for a missing cat.

Tip 1 - One of the best times to search is in the middle of the night

Often the best time to do a physical search for your missing cat is in the middle of the night. There will be no car noise and human noise, they are more likely to come out to you from hiding. You are also more likely to hear their meow if they do choose to answer back. They don’t always answer back if they are traumatised, that’s another problem.

Tip 2 - Search a cat as if you were looking for a lost ring

Did you know that most missing cats are found within a 5 house radius?

The most important step to look for your missing cat (especially the indoor-only ones) is to go out to do a physical search. Wear comfortable clothes, peek under the car, go behind the bushes, that kind of search. Search as if you are looking for a lost ring, don't search as if you are looking for a person.

One of the common mistakes during the physical search is - people go into the garden, look around, don’t see the cat, then leave. The cat might be hiding in the bush too scared to say anything!

This is Taco, he has been missing from his home in Callan since May 28th.

There are some marks on the back of his neck from an old infection he had, but he is a fairly distinctive-looking cat anyway, as you'll see from the pictures.

Please, if you have seen Taco, call us immediately on 056 777 1635. Thank you. Ref # 1280622.
