📢Heritage Keepers Programme - Now Open for Applications
The Heritage Keepers Programme is a free heritage education programme for primary schools and community groups across Ireland, supporting participants to explore their built, cultural and natural heritage and take positive action in their local communities.
Through five weekly workshops, groups will develop a project to promote or preserve an aspect of their local heritage, with funding available to help bring their ideas to life. Groups can also apply for additional funding to organise a field trip to a local heritage site.

📅 The closing date for applications is Wednesday 30th September
💻 An online information session will take place on Tuesday 15th September at 7.30pm for anyone interested in finding out more.

📣 Café Lates is BACK!
With August's events selling out, Café Lates returns for a September edition to Kilkenny City on the evening of Thursday 17th September 🥳
Café Lates is an initiative under the Kilkenny Night Time Economy Action Plan supporting local cafés in Kilkenny City to extend their opening hours by offering innovative and cultural events after 6pm.

☕ Four cafés in Kilkenny City are taking part in this September's Café Lates, offering a variety of exciting pop up events from 6pm:
🖌️ Coffee and Print Club @ Low Lane, 6pm – 8.30pm
🍷 Wine & Charcuterie Night @ Wild Tails 6pm – 9pm
♟️ Fair Play Tabletop Thursdays @ Tower & Castle 6pm – 9.30pm (Thursday September 10th and Thursday September 17th)
🍫 Paint and Sip – Chocolate Style! @ The Chocolate Garden Café 6.30pm – 7.30pm

Bus Stop Enhancement Programme
Improvements are now planned for bus stops in Callan and Thomastown.

🚌 Bus Stop Enhancement Programme Continues Across Kilkenny
More improvements are now planned for bus stops in Callan and Thomastown.
📍 Callan: An additional shelter will be installed at the southbound stop on Green Street, along with upgrades to the northbound stop.
📍 Thomastown: Works will include new kerbing, bus stop markings, and updated timetable information at both stops.
These improvements are designed to enhance the visibility, safety, and comfort of passengers.
🗓️ The consultation period is open until 4 September.

Songs After Dark 🎶 is a new series of songwriting workshops led by songwriter Luan Parle, taking place this September and October at the Archer Room at Hole in the Wall, Kilkenny.

Suitable for beginners and experienced songwriters alike. Participants can attend one, two, three or all four workshops.
