September is the ideal time to divide perennials and save seeds. If you find you have an excess of either don’t forget to drop some down to the plant stand.
We hope many of you are now harvesting some lovely home grown fruit and vegetables. If you have had a successful year and have excess of anything and would like to share, please feel free to use the plant stand for this purpose also.
The plant stand will remain in place until the end of September.

On Saturday, as part of National Heritage Week, we took a walk in our local countryside to investigate the local flora and fauna.
Various species were seen and the changes in plants due to the hot summer were observed. It really is wonderful when we stop for just a moment to appreciate the nature that is all around us.

DEADLINE FOR OUR ART COMPETITION HAS BEEN EXTENDED. WE ARE NOW RUNNING UNTIL SEPTEMBER 30TH.

🌱 Great news for Kilkenny communities!

Kilkenny County Council and IPB Insurance have awarded €50,000 to 11 local community groups through the LEAF Fund to support climate action, biodiversity and environmental projects.

💚 From wildlife planting and sensory gardens to rainwater harvesting, polytunnels and community growing spaces, these projects will help create greener, more resilient communities across Kilkenny.
