The verges are full to the brim with devil's bit, knapweed, heather and are washed with purples and mauve.

The firey crimson and lime sundews have grown in blankets over the surface of the untouched layer of glistening magic!

Galway's Living Bog would like to sincerely acknowledge and thank Galway County Council for its support through the LEP 2026 Grant Scheme, which has enabled the repainting of the Galway's Living Bog Interpretive Centre.

This investment has greatly enhanced the appearance of our centre, creating an even more welcoming space for the many schools, visitors, community groups and tourists who visit us each year.

We are grateful for Galway County Councils continued commitment to supporting community initiatives and preserving spaces that celebrate our natural heritage and promote environmental education.

Thank you for helping us continue to grow and improve Galway's Living Bog for everyone to enjoy!
