What an incredible afternoon at Sports Across the World 2026!
On Saturday, 1 August, Mulhuddart Community Centre came alive as families, young people and community members from different cultures gathered to connect, celebrate and enjoy sport together.
From friendly competitions and traditional games to walking football, dance, Zumba and live entertainment, the event demonstrated the unique power of sport to break down barriers, create friendships and strengthen our shared sense of belonging.
We were honoured to welcome Cllr Tony Murphy, Mayor of Fingal, as our keynote speaker. His message about inclusion, participation and community spirit perfectly reflected the purpose of the day.
A heartfelt thank you to Fingal County Council, the Local Community Development Committee, Empower and Mulhuddart Community Centre for supporting this celebration.
We also extend our sincere appreciation to the coaches, activity leaders, performers, community organisations, sponsors and dedicated volunteers whose hard work made the event possible.
Most importantly, thank you to every family, young person and community member who participated. Your energy, enthusiasm and openness made the day truly special.
At Children 4 World Children, we believe that our differences should not divide us—they should give us more opportunities to learn, connect and celebrate together.
Together, we showed that while sport may be competitive, community is not a competition. Everyone belongs.
